The rooms are large and nicely decorated. The grounds are beautifully kept. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The dining room is fabulous and the food is very good. While we were having a nice dinner after a day of walking through that market in Otavalo, a fire was lit in the fireplace in our room and hot water bottles tucked under the blankets. An electric heater is also in the room, we were very comfortable.

A very charming place I would love to go back to. We stayed here only one night, but we ate a delicious three course menu and slept so wonderfull. Lovely staff as well, who even lighted the fireplace for us when we relaxed in one of the nice lounge areas. So thoughtful and cute.

We stopped here for the night after a day in Otavalo and visitng the market. The grounds are beautiful and very well kept. The rooms are great and spacious. An electric heater was provided- as nights can get very chilly in Ecuador. Also the owner welcomed us with drinks and finger food along with live music prior to dinner. I was very impressed with the furniture and classic decor in many of the rooms. The only reason I am not giving it an Excellent is because there was no hot water in our room. I tried to take a shower at night and then again in the morning with the water not even getting luke warm. When I went to ask reception about it there was nobody there. Wifi only located in the "lobby" area. The thick orignal walls make it impossible to get Wifi anywhere else.

Room Tip: I really don't think there is a bad room location

This hacienda has been here since 1888, and is worth a visit. We had dinner, and the food was beautifully prepared and tasty. I was disappointed because they had just resealed or stained the floor, and the smell was overpowering and made dining not very pleasant. Other than that I might have rated it excellent. It was a nice setting, but a bit expensive for what we were served. May have been better for lunch when we would have had a better view of the grounds. It is worth walking around and looking at the grounds and hacienda after eating.

This is one of our favourite haciendas in northern Ecuador, a great place to enjoy dinner and just magical to spend the night.

We loved the service. Owner was there and interacted with us at all times, super friendly. Thank you! Pedro.

We booked a couple rooms because we had a family wedding in a village nearby, it was an extremely cold night, to our surprise we found hot water bottles in our beds when we returned. Sweet!

Gardens are beautiful.

Definitely will be coming back.

Room Tip: All rooms are good, try the main house rooms since they have the original decor and are more romantic.
