Hotel el Indio Inn is a beautiful and nicely decorated hotel.
The rooms are comfortable and clean. Breakfast is fresh, plenty and delicious.
Service is outstanding. Everyone working at the hotel is very courteous and helpful. Ms Maria Santellan was amazing, always willing to help us and make our stay unforgettable.
The hotel has an excellent location. Several attractions (train station, markets, churches...) and restaurants are at a walking distance from the hotel.
The hotel has a restaurant, La Tulpa that offers different tasty dishes.
In case you don't have specific plans when visiting Otavalo, feel free to contact the reception. When we stayed at the hotel they recommended us Equatorface travel agency and it was amazing.

We stayed here 2 nights, and felt like the place was good if you're looking for something centrally-located in Otavalo. The staff were friendly and generally helpful. Some quirks - the spa isn't open unless there are at least 6 people to use it (bummer) and once the guy at the front desk went to the parking lot for an extended period of time (15 min) and we had to wait outside to get in the hotel.

I stayed here two nights. Quite good value. I booked direct by email and got good rate Good WiFi and lots of hot water. Comfortable room but cold. No sunlight or heating. Rooms look on to indoor courtyard so you have to keep curtains closed. Towels and hand-washed clothes do not dry. Friendly women at reception, men less so. Breakfast staff formal and unhelpful. Breakfast minimal and set amount served.

Conveniently located in the heart of Otavalo near to the markets with many restaurants and cafes close by. Rooms set round an internal courtyard with plants hanging over balconies. Comfortable and clean with good facilities and friendly staff. Served breakfast included individual plates of mixed fruit, eggs, soft bread and preserves

I was impressed with the service here. We arrived after 10pm and, looking at the entrance from a deserted street, I was worried we might not even be able to check in. Not only did a staffer come out to greet us and get us to our room, he took the key to my rental car and parked it somewhere (for no charge).

The room was very basic and clean. Bedding wasn't incredibly comfortable but it got the job done. Furnishings were nowhere near fancy. This inn sits just above the threshold of 'my wife would refuse to stay here'.

The location was great for our Friday night stay. The market on Saturday morning was only a few minutes' walk away. The central square was also quite close.

The breakfast was good--mostly self serve but someone did unexpectedly bring us scrambled eggs.

Overall, considering we spent about $65 USD for two people, the value was good. Definitely not fancy but it hit the spot and met our needs. I would stay here again.
