“A perfect end to our trip in Europe”
Reviewed 15 June 2015 for a stay in May 2015

The memories of our stay in this apartment have stayed with us as the views are magnificent from the balcony. The information we received prior to the holiday was very useful and having a local contact to seek information was great and just lived very close by. We visited Trogir, Split and a National Park Krka, this is really worth a visit. We did drive to Dubrovnik, long day but would do it again as it was amazing. The apartment was perfect for our break with everything to feel it's home from home.

“Fab week in Ciovo!!!”
Reviewed 5 July 2013 for a stay in June 2013

From the initial contact we had with Richard (the owner) about booking the holiday, he could not have been more helpful. Leading up to our stay, Richard had emailed me lots of pictures of the area, useful tourist information and also made arrangements for the driver to pick us up from the airport and drive us the short way to the apartment. Having left torrential rain behind in Stansted that morning, the blazing sunshine was very welcome indeed. We knew from the taxi ride over the bridge we were in for a treat! The temperature stayed in the early 30s the entire week. Bozena, the local contact, was also very helpful and had left us juice in the fridge and biscuits for our arrival. The apartment itself was very clean, modern and well equipped (including a nice selection of DVDs under the TV!) The view was stunning and we enjoyed lunch on the balcony before watching the sun set in the evenings (...the ones that we weren't eating out on!). A typical day was spent walking down to the bakery in the morning for pastries before heading back for an afternoon lazing by the beach. The water is very clear, a lovely turquoise colour and actually not too chilly! Sun beds were about 20 Kuna and parasols could be purchased from many of the bars too. The beach itself is pebbly, quite hard underfoot, so we invested in some jelly shoes quite early on which were definitely worth it! It is about a 10-15 minute walk down to the beach front (steep coming back, but good exercise if like us you’d been eating a lot!!) where you'll find the supermarket/bakery/bars/restaurants. The centre of the village contains the pharmacy/post office/church which is found by turning left at the end of the road, not right, when you come out the apartment. We ate out at Leonardo twice during the week and once at Srdela (next to each other!) Both very nice (mixed grills, fish, etc) and quite reasonable too, though quite big portions so we didn’t always need starters! We also got into a routine of a lunchtime cocktail too which were a lot cheaper than back home (30 kuna!?) Everyone spoke very good English but we found they all appreciated our small efforts in Croatian. The water taxi is also worth mentioning (20 kuna each way) as this took us from the beach to Trogir where we ate out at Kamerlengo (similar cuisine again, also very nice). From Trogir we also caught the hour ferry to Split (24 kuna each way) for a walk around the historic city and enjoyed a look around Diocletian’s palace and St Dominus’ Cathedral. For a week of R&R this holiday was perfect for us and it provided us with everything we needed. Had we stayed longer we probably would’ve wanted a car to explore further afield but for the week we were there we enjoyed our stay very much. In fact we can’t wait to go back again!!!

“Amazing base for exploring this wonderful part of Croatia!”
Reviewed 23 June 2013 for a stay in May 2013

What a fabulous apartment. Stunning views and a good lot of things to do locally. We had a car and I think this is a good idea for this part of the country. Richard (the owner) could not have been more helpful and with an English speaking neighbour (Božena) we were made to feel very welcome. As it was our honeymoon we were welcomed to the apartment with a beautiful flower arrangement which made us feel very special. The view is something very special and the local restaurants and bars were all good. We would recommend this apartment to anyone looking to holiday in Croatia.
