I fell in love with this old town. We stayed in Pula and took the bus to Rovinj over the day . It wasn't tourist season in may when we were there, but we got lucky because the weather was like in summer. We strolled around on the narrow streets of the old town and walked up to the church on the top of the hill. There was an amazing view from up there, and along the way you could see some really nice things that the locals were selling , not the rubbish kind of souvenirs you find in other spots, there was really good paintings and handmade jewellery etc. To get a better view of the actual town I recommend to take a stroll along the water to see it from a distance. Or the best way, get out in a boat!

After Dubrovnik this is the best old town to see in Croatia. Is is much smaller than Dubrovnik but very interesting, colorful and peaceful. Few narrow alleys through old town will take you to St. Euphemia church on top of hill with nice sunset views.

We came here after being very disappointed with Pula, love the place.

It s very Italian like with the the old town having cobblestones and many shops although not the labels. We had fun just strolling round, not a lot of people about because it was still low season, some shops and restaurants yet to open.

Plenty of restaurants and cafes and how good was to get a good italian coffee that we had so missed in other parts of Croatia.

Drove around the seaside town and saw lots of lovely beaches. Accommodation at Hotel Lone is great and reasonably priced.

Definitely a good place to stay a few nights and visit other towns like Pula. We wished we had stayed longer.

We drove from Venice and stayed 4 days - walked the town thoroughly and briefly visited other villages and towns in Istria. We tend to have itchy feet so I think the town itself is really just good for 2 days.
