Stayed in this hotel for a week in a large group. Room was small but clean. Food was good at breakfast and dinner. Swimming pool area is small but overlooks the sea. Hotel had a bar and we also used the bar under the hotel. Close to shops and restaurants. Surrounding around was nice with water sports.

I have just come back from Croatia last week, beautiful country and like going back in time, stayed at hotel Plavi, which was lovely and felt very safe as l was on my own! There is transport to get about like the trains only 2 mins from hotel and also the ferry only 5 mins walk from the hotel. Which brings you into Porec, either across the sea or by footpath on the train, which goes past beautiful countryside and sea views. Only 20 kuna (£2.80) single one way or 25 kuna on Ferry single one way (£3.50)
The weather was warm about 23 C and had a wet day on the Sunday. Food was average, mostly catered for German people, which was 80% of holiday makers. Hotel staff helped as much as possible and were friendly.
You can also go on a boat trip to the island of Rovinj,Lim and Vsar from 10am -5pm, for £220 kuna, which includes a chicken or fish lunch on board. Good value. You can have a look round Rovinj for 2 hours as the ferry drops you off and then waits for you.
I would recommend this trip for anyone who is on the own. I actually met some lovely English people, who l tagged along with for about 4 or 5 days
I took a Thompson travel card which l topped up with Croatian money, but found it difficult for most shops and bars to accept it, you are in my view better off with actual Croatian currency.

This hotel looks great in reviews and brochures, but it's with tiny room.
The location is rubbish. It's far away from porec town and supposed to have a shuttle bus. But the shuttle bus is not operational as far as I know. I was waiting for 30 min in the sun and when complaining to the receptionist she claims "it's usually on time" in a arrogant manner. Don't trust the bus or the receptionist.
I called to get indications on transfer from airport. Was presented 600kuna. The meter stopped above 900kuna. Again don't trust the reception.

The rooms are so small. Worst is bath room, you have to decide on your orientation before you go in... No room to turn around inside.
I do not recommend this hotel.

I stayed there for a week and I have to say it was a pleasan stay. Yes the room was from 80's but it was clean, so we were happy with that. The food was very good! Also the staff was very nice and friendly!

the hotel is average overall. Rooms were clean, but small.. bathroom was the smallest one I have ever been in.. Breakfast was good enough but not special, dinner was very poor with small variety and not quality food. Good think is that the hotel is on the beach, near the water, so you may go for a walk in the very morning or spend time by the sea on the bench, as surroundings of the hotel is very clean and nice.

Room Tip: rooms in the main building on the 2 nd floor are very very small.
