2nd year at molindrio, staying for 2 weeks on both occasions, all staff very friendly with the exception of the 'pool director' who gave out the towels and seemed to take exception to children jumping into the pool and playing with balls!!

Animation team who ran mini club were exceptional and worked extremely hard throughout the day with the kids and later at night too.

Pool bar and dining areas all very clean, but cleanliness in room not quite to the same high standard of last year.

Excellent selection of food for both breakfast and dinner and bar and pool bar prices reasonably good.

All in all a great family holiday in a beautiful location

I have recently returned from the Laguna Molindrio hotel in Croatia and whilst the hotel is generally very nice, clean, well kept and modern my holiday was marred by the night club approximately a 1/4 of a mile up the road which played rave music 5 out of 7 nights from 3am to 6am every morning (out door night club).

If you have a trip booked, particularly with children i would advise requesting a room on the side of the hotel over looking the sea and as far away from this club as possible!

Room Tip: As far away from the nightclub as possible

My husband and I only stayed for two nights, but it was lovely. The rooms are comfortable and quite large, clean, the bed is comfortable. We were quite impressed with the half-board, many things to choose from and everything was delicious. There is something for meat lovers, vegetarians, and those who enjoy seafood. There are two outdoor pools at the hotel, animation for children during the day, and the beach is only a few metres away. A little bit further is a lovely spot from where you can watch the sunset, a small store is at the marina a few 100 meters from the hotel. Live music at the hotel terrace in the evenings, the price of drinks resonable, but we were most impressed with the staff. The people at the reception desk, waitresses and waiters at the bar, the greeting ladies at the restaurant,... everyone is so friendly and willing to help! The parking is in front of the hotel and costs one euro per day. Wish we could've stayed longer, we had a really nice time.

Visited Zalena Laguna and Croatia for the first time and was fortunate enough to stay at the Molindrio. We had a problem with our booking which the hotel resolved quickly and without any fuss, which impressed us greatly. Excellent hotel and very welcoming and helpful staff...I really can't praise them enough. The hotel is modern and immaculate, the food is good in both variety and quality, also drinks are reasonably priced. Visited Porec by boat and bus and got a return by water taxi following a couple of hours dolphin watching which I would highly recommend. All in all a great holiday and we are planning to go back next year as we enjoyed it so much.

Having visited many places around the world and stayed in mostly very good hotels I was not expecting a lot from my first visit to Croatia. Initially my first reaction was that the hotel looked impressive from the outside. However the room we had was extremely small, probably the smallest we had ever stayed in. The bathroom was fine, good shower, bath and clean. We had a large terrace with garden view . There were a number of stains on the carpet which does not give a good impression either. Not planning on staying in the room much we settled in for our 2 week stay. The towels and bedding were changed regularly and I have to say the maids did a good job. We were on half board(not something we do very often) however the food was buffet style and there was always plenty of choice ,so no one would go hungry. We ate out a number of times if only to give variety. In the evening after dinner various live groups entertained people who stayed in and on a Friday they had a tribute act. The staff in the bars worked very hard and on occasion struggled to keep up with orders. The hotel is in a beautiful setting ,well manicured grounds and kept very clean. If you turn left after leaving the hotel there are a number of bars and pizzerias and a couple of restaurants as well. If you like walking or cycling this is an ideal place with lots to explore. We hired a car and visited some beautiful places up and down the coast as well as inland and it it certainly a very nice place. It's very Family oriented but the lack of sandy beaches could be a problem for some. You can hire beds on some beaches but mostly not.As mentioned in other reviews you can go in to Porec a number of ways without a car.If you fancy a trip to Croatia this was a really nice place to stay.
