We had such a wonderful stay at Tea Cozy. Amy was so helpful planning all of our excursions. Before we came she sent us an itinerary. However it rained a couple of day and she seamlessly changed our plans to maximize our time here. We have a 5 and 7 year old and they loved it. From cave exploring, cooking class, farming, massages and bike riding we were never bored. They food at Tea cozy was very good and reasonably priced. They have western and Asian options to appease everyone. The breakfast was our favorite meal. I believe the are putting in a pool, which will then make it the perfect retreat.

This is an amazing hotel the people are so nice and helpful and friendly. You are very well looked after in every way. My husband needs special dietry requirements as he is a coeliac and it was no problem they made excellent meals for him. And also for me who does not have any special diet. There are no lifts so you have to go up the stairs but they will take care of your luggage we were on the top floor which had five flights of stairs and had the offer of a lower floor if too much but decided to keep the top floor well worth it the views were to die for we just organised ourselves so we did not have to go up too many times as we are in our sixties

Room tip: As no lifts only stairs no good for mobility problems

This was the first stop for us in China and I am so glad that we stayed out here in the country side other than in the town itself. We had our own tour guide for the length of the stay from Odyssey Tours, so they picked us up and drove us everywhere. A traditional style hotel, we were on the third floor. With bamboo cabinets, raised beds and stone bath wear, this was a lovely place to start our adventure. The service was wonderful and English was spoken clearly by Amy. When one of our activities was cancelled due to wet weather, Amy went out of her way to go thru some other options with us and then did all the correspondence with our guide, which enabled us to be picked up 20 minutes later for a day full of adventure. On our return one night there was a power blackout, which we had read about previously so we came prepared with torches, however every step was lit by candles and they came in to our accommodation upon our return and set candles up in each room for us as well. We had breakfast included in our package which was a delightful way to start the day outside in the garden and we also had dinner there one night - nice, flavoursome food at extremely reasonable prices. For an authentic experience, we would definetly recommended this hotel to others.

Yangshuo was our 1st stop in mainland China and we could not believe the amazing english of this hotel’s staff. Amy went above and beyond to make our stay in the Tea Cozy just perfect. She shared with us a possible itinerary for our 3 days in Yangshuo with different tours and activities. Though we changed a couple of things, her recommendations were very good. Expect to spend some extra money in these activities, but they are so worth it! We did a full day biking with a private english tour. The tour also included bamboo rafting (a must!!) and a visit to some caves (which we wouldn’t recommend). We also did a cooking class and saw the Impressions Liú Sānjiě show at night by the river, both of which we really enjoyed. The rooms have a really nice traditional chinese feel, they are also very spacious. The food at the hotel is amazing, with lots of Chinese and western options. Transport to the airport and train pickup was also very good. Tours and transport might be more expensive when hiring from the hotel, but the difference might not be that big and you avoid all the hustle, they make it so easy for you. In our 1 month trip around Japan, China and South Korea, Yangshuo ranked in 1st place! The scenery is unbelievable. We went during rainy season and we still got to enjoy all activities and views. We highly recommend staying at the Tea Cozy!

We had high expectations due to the reviews and they were all met!

Prior to visiting, Richard and Amy were really helpful advising us on our itinerary and the prices were reasonable. They organised a wonderful stay at the rice terraces for us, in the new Pingan hotel. Mark, our driver and tour guide, was brilliant and had excellent English.

All the staff were friendly and helpful, but Amy was incredible. In all our travels we have not met anyone so friendly and helpful - she went out of her way to chat to us and give us advice.

We also appreciated the driver getting us to the airport in time for our flight, despite a few setbacks on the way!
