You wouldn't expect to find plantations of fruits and vegetables in the middle of the desert, but that's what you get.
There are a couple of petroglyphs that can be spotted on the rock. The quarry is also interesting to visit, to understand how the locals make the rock blocks, used to build the houses (although nowadays, they mostly use cement, which is much cheaper).

Worth the 1500 pesos as they have done a lot to improve the area byt the river. It will get better year by year after the disastrous flood in 2012 when 39 died.

I guess all tours stop here...and it may just be another oasis ... to me evry oasis is a wonder of nature. It's a place that brings refreshment, joy and peace.

Odd place, little hard to find out anything about it. We went on the way back from the Flamingo reserves, and it was nice to relax and bath the feet in the stream, there was not much water, but it was a really interesting little place. Do not expect much and then it will seem nice! Great picnic area and BBQ areas too.
