I stayed at this hotel recently and have to say how fantastic it is. The staff were brilliant and spoke good English and not only did they give us a free room upgrade, they helped organise our tours and onward bus travel. The room itself was very clean and spacious. Free wifi, breakfast and computer use. Only slight downside was that we were on the 3rd floor and there is no lift.

The hotel is within 10 minutes walking distance of the old market and lots of shops and restaurants. The buses leaving to Pnomh Penh are opposite the hotel and the hotel staff actually walked over with us to make sure we got on the right one!

Finally, we were given a gift on our departure which was a very kind gesture. I would definately stay here if visiting again.

This hotel is located on the west bank of the river that dissects the city and is within walking distance of the bus terminals and restaurants.

Our delexe room was very spacious with lots of light. It was also spotlessly clean and came complete with a fridge and a TV with cable channels. Despite being close to the bus terminal we experienced now noise at all. The hotel also offers free HSIA.

The breakfast that was included in our rate, was simple yet good quality.

The real selling point of the hotel, however; are the staff. We booked a three day stay through Agoda but were not able to make the first day. Without out us even asking the hotel manager offered to replace the missed night free of charge. We have never encounter such a kind gesture as this in more than 10 years of travel and were truly moved.

All in all, the staff, the rooms, and the service mean you could not make a better choice of a place to stay in Battambang.

Room Tip: Go for the deluxe rooms. They are worth the small extra cost.

The hotel seems to be one of the newer hotels in town, everything is modern and kept clean by the friendly cleaning ladies. We liked the size of the room (deluxe) - it was huge, and so was the bed. The other rooms we saw had a window to the hallway instead of outside, so I was glad we had booked the deluxe version ($20 on Agoda). The room rate includes breakfast, which was good (choose from a menu: baguette with jam / omelette / eggs or muesli, yogurt & fruits plus coffee) Wi-fi was okay. The only thing we didn't like was the tiny bathroom with the typical Asian shower (no curtain) with the drain all the way across the bathroom, which means the entire bathroom gets wet every time you shower.

We decided to spend a couple of more days in town and were not sure if we wanted to spend two more nights at the Asia Hotel, so we looked at the alternatives in town and actually found a better hotel (Hotel Holiday), also a new hotel, which had a great separate glass shower and fantastic views from the 4th floor (everything else was comparable to Asia Hotel, we paid 14$ for a double room without breakfast)

Room Tip: The deluxe rooms with windows facing outside are better than the standard rooms which have a window to the hallway.
