➖ Way overpriced. !!!
Reception area is sadly lacking any appeal. Open to the road outside so dirty, cracked and loose tiles on the floor and spiders webs. Not somewhere you want to linger about...
General housekeeping not great, toiletries not replaced, toilet paper limited supply. Plate and glasses from welcome fruit and drink, was left in our room for days and still there as we checked out. !!! Lock on room door very poor and there was a gap in the door for insects and flies to enter the room...
Breakfast very basic. (Apart from coffee and banana pancakes).
Maintainance and housekeeping let it down badly for the prices charged.

➕ The owners wife and one young male staff members who welcomed us on arrival were always smiling and very accommodating throughout our stay. Welcome drink and fruit on arrival.
Nice pool with comfortable sun beds.
Bed was fine and a/c in room was good. Fly net over bed.
The resident Tuk Tuk driver "So Phorm" was excellent, an absolute gentlemen. The day tour he took us on was brilliant and highly recommended.
Coffee and banana pancakes at breakfast good.
We were leaving very early when checking out and the owner kindly had some sandwiches prepared for us to take with us. A kind gesture.

This pretty little place has bags of potential but is now sadly a little tired. The room was comfortable enough with a mosquito net and a/c (although not particularly efficient). The bed was made up everyday but the coffee/water was not replenished and the bathroom not cleaned. There is a limited menu for both breakfast and lunch, however the food was very tasty. If you want a break from the hustle and bustle or prefer a more unique family run hotel experience, then this place might be for you. We ended up staying an extra night because we liked the peacefulness of practically having the pool to ourselves. Realistically it needs a bit of smartening up or the price dropping to reflect the standard of the resort. Also be aware it is about a 15 minute walk to the busy side of the river, however there are restaurant and bars on the way. This side of the river seems to be 'the locals side' so if you want a more authentic experience then stay here.

Just arrived yesterday at night. The family who own the place sleeps in the lobby in mattresses on the floor, we found this sight a little distressing since it's not you normal check in experience. I see here you describe rooms are decorated in Khmer style.... My room is an all white room which you have to access through a window, the bathroom is old and not taken care of and the door doesn't lock. It really doesn't have any type of courtain but a cloth. Nobody really speaks english and although everybody seems to have the best intentions that's not really what makes up a hotel. If you split the price they charge pero room per day in half it would still be overpriced for the quality of lodging you receive. The pictures that you see were taken some years ago when it was just been decorated.

Dear, Laura Pamela Thank you for drop your feedback. Yes, We temporary sleep in the corner of the restaurant just at night away from the lobby and our guard is sometime based in the lobby for security. We knew this way a bit bad look but we just temporary. We knew that we need a bit of work to the place. We are sorry for any inconveniences during your stay.

We spent two nights in the hotel and on the positive side we will remember the friendly owners and staff and adorable kids. This hotel has lots of potential with a little more investments needed.
The location is great, walking distance to the center. They even have bicycles that they put at your service to ride down town. Their Tuk Tuk driver is also very nice and friendly. The WiFi is strong and that is also a positive point.
On the negative I would say the lobby is not as shown on the management pictures. A little dusty and we did not get our welcome drink as promised on the genius status on booking.com. The pool has a great size but could use a better filtration.
The room has a great size with pool view. The beds are comfortable with mosquito nets. What could be better is a safe that locks, more lighting in the bathroom and more space to arrange your clothes.
The breakfast wad good especially their banana pancakes. The dinner was ok.
So all in all we enjoyed our stay but thought we didn’t get the best value for our money in comparison to what we experienced in other cities in Cambodia.

I stayed here by myself for work in November and was very happy that I chose this hotel.

Loved being surrounded by the green and the flowers, waking up to the birds and falling asleep to the crickets chirping. It felt like a luxury camp (this I mean positively). The villa has a rustic charm, and you can make yourself comfortable.

The owner family is really sweet, and they take a good care of the guests, and the staff are also very sweet and kind. The swimming pool was always refreshing and kept clean. They offer a variety of options for breakfast, and the food was good. I had dinner once, and that was also delicious.

When booking by email, I asked the owner, Mr Ratanak, if I can get a discount for staying more than 10 days, and he kindly offered me a good deal.

Take note that it is pronounced "puka" and not "huka" (I believe that Phka means flowers in Khmer, a fitting name!) or else people will be confused by where you are staying.

The housekeeping may sometimes forget to refill a few things but promptly help you with whatever you need.

Mr Sophorn, the tuk tuk driver, was always reliable and great.

Big thank you to Mr Ratanak and his family, I wish you all the very best and hope that someday I can go back and stay at the villa again.
