Firstly, please consider the current economic/social/political situation in Bulgaria before passing judgement on places you stay.
OK - it says it is a 4 star hotel and stars are given depending on facilities available to guests. There are good rooms and not so good rooms. What you get depends on what is free at the time.
The restaurant serves a good breakfast and dinner was acceptable to native Bulgarians as the dishes were mainly traditional. There are plenty of restaurants also serving mostly local food which is great for when the hotel food is not to your liking.
What is important to note is that the hotel rooms were warm and there was always hot water. All we needed for a skiing holiday. Rooms were cleaned daily and were absolutely fine.
Reservation was made directly with the hotel and they were absolutely great at answering all my questions and ensuring we get the best rate. Iva Ratarova was great in arranging everything and other staff were great if you speak with them nicely and not to them as most people do.
