The hotel is charming, quiet and friendly. The localization is perfect for anyone that want to explore Gramado and neighbor cities like Canela and Nova Petropolis. Suggestions given by the hotel should be considered.

My wife and I checked in the Easter Holiday this year. The room we booked was called a doublé room or suite. When parking our car in valet the guy was very nice. When asking the recepción about resturants and thing is was very nice. Did not speak any english. I asked just to find out as I can speak some portuguese and fluent english.

When asking for dinner for a busy hoilday weeked we asked for a reservaton to be made for us. He is said dont worry we will do this for you. Checking the next day to see if it was done for us we were told by a different person working reception that that resturant does not make reservations. Seeing that it was my wedding anniversity I was very mad.

The next day we asked for a pick up to a BBQ place and reception said that they did not open until 19:00 and come down then and will will have a pick-up ready. When going down stairs at 19h we find out that the resturant does not do a pick up.

This hotel is a little of the old side. It needs a make over.

Great place as long as you dont need reception for anything.

Serra Azul is in the best location of Gramado. You can walk to the city's best restaurants, coffees and stores, which is great, because parking spaces are not very easy to get there. The attention is also very good and polite. And this is all. Unfortunately, that's all. The rooms are poor for the expensive price, the towels are very old, my room was very noisy by night because of some engine sounds (I don't know what it was), the electrical oulets were far from the bed... to sum up, all that cheap hotels things what you will never expect in a famous hotel like this,

Pessoal gentil, precos razoaveis, excelente localizacao. Pontos baixos: decor e moveis velhos. Poderiam ter os chinelinhos e escovas de dente.

Polite crew, good value for money, excellent location. Downside are the old furniture, decor, clothes. They could have those take away flip flops and tooth brushes...

I know HSA since 1994 and have stayed there for many times. But definitively I won't stay there again. The rooms are old and badly maintained. The service is awful. Image that you is forced to sign an receipt of 100 BRL to take the A/C remote control and need to return it at the check-out. I never saw it before! I have reversed a room for a couple with a 4 month baby, but when I arrived at the room there wasn't any crib. I needed to ask about it. The breakfast wasn't good. The cheese seems that was in the trays for weeks. I don't recommend.
