We stayed here for 2 nights before boarding our cruise ship. The hotel was picked by the cruise company and was adequate, but needs a lot of updating. The air con was really noisy, but it was so hot we needed it on all night. The bed was reasonably comfortable and the room was bright and quiet.
Breakfast was ok, nothing special.
Views from the roof swimming pool area were fab.
Staff friendly and helpful.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back were quiet, however rooms at the front may have better views.

Very happy with this hotel. Central location just off Copacabana beach and also minutes away from Rio Sul shopping Centre.
Hotel was spotlessly clean and staff were always courteous and helpful. Breakfast buffet was plentiful with a good selection and some lovely fresh fruit each day.

We stayed here for 3 days to explore Rio. It was our first time being here so the airport taxi to the hotel was super expensive for 2 persons. The room and bed were big, including a safe, a few amenities like towels and toiletries, but no toothbrush. Hot water was always available because it's cold in RIo. No complimentary water as well but they have a mini fridge with drinks in it. Would have been complete if they had an electric kettle for coffee but that's just nitpicking. The TV channels were full on Portuguese so no use for us. A few English channels would have been nice. The wifi was excellent, no problems with speed and connection. The A/C was a standard window type that was placed just above the bed, thankfully the blankets helped. The receptionist was very helpful in the choice of our room since it was close to the street, we asked for a higher floor to minimize noise. He was also helpful for asking directions, where to buy food, how to take the bus to the nearby mall, and even booking us a taxi back to the airport. I forgot his name but he is a Peruvian. He even advised us not to walk at night, but during the day, it's fine. It got me on edge a little by keeping cautious with our belongings all the time when walking. The free breakfast was good as well, with good selections to satisfy us before heading to the tours. The location of the hotel was near to the beach and the mall, as well as some restaurants and a small convenience store that was good enough to buy some groceries. Would recommend this place if you want everything accessible to your necessities.

Room Tip: Higher floors for less road noise and good view.

Dear Guest

First of all thank you very much for choosing Augusto’s Rio Copa Hotel and now for taking the time to evaluate your recent stay with us.

The complimentary water is located at out Front Desk where our guests can drink it for free, all the while. About the electric kettle for coffee, we thank you for suggesting; perhaps in the future we may have it, but at our restaurant, located at the 1st floor, we have this and so does our 24 room service.

Our cable TV counts on some international channels and sports and films ones, can be changed to English and Spanish languages just on the TV remote control. We are sorry that you did not ask for our help while you have been here and would certainly have helped you also with this issue.

We really appreciate your comments, for sure they will make us better and influence new guests.
