this beach is very beautiful located along the city boulevard in the guanabara bay, however, the water is very dirty and polluted with all kind of trash chemicals and human waste. See all the comments about the water quality concerning the upcoming olympic sports in the bay ...
Shame on Brazil ...!!!

Baby Churro took a short nap on the beach. It was fine. There are some rocks. You can watch surfers if there are surfers which sometimes there are.

A very nice neighborhood with lots of restaurants, shops and a very large catwalk along the beach where you get to walk, take a very nutritive, isotonic drink locally called "coconut water". The sunset is beautifull with a special and most unique view to Rio de Janeiro!

It's a lovely sandy beach with an amazing view of Rio. At night time people flock to the beach to play rugby, volleyball, frescobol, etc while vendors sell popcorn and churros. During the day you can get beers and relax in the sun. No one really swims here!

This is a "City Beach" located in a very important spot of the City, Icarai beach is always full of people, not so much for bathing but more of a place to walk and watch the sunset while drinking a fresh coconut water. Or maybe you could go there to play soccer, volleyball, ride your bike and watch the beauty of Guanabara Bay.
