My husband and I stayed for 3 nights at this posada and I can’t recommend it highly enough. It’s perfectly situated just outside the main town area but just a short walk away so it was peaceful and quaint. Our room was small but clean and well equipped, the balcony had the most incredible view the only slight critism was that the beds were very firm ( almost too firm to be honest). Breakfast was fantastic, I’ve never had such fantastic fruit. Coffee and cake in the afternoon was a lovely touch. The staff at the hotel gave us great food recommendations ( our favourites were lua de mar on the beach and sorrentinos! The view of the ocean and rainforest was beautiful and I just wish we’d had longer there.

This was one of the most beautiful views I've ever woken up to. Every room in the pousada has a ocean view, and the views (photo attached) are the reason you should consider this hotel for your stay. It was stunning. There's a hammock too to enjoy the view. The hotel owner was very friendly and gave good advice. He was very engaged and personable which gave the hotel a good feel. Breakfast was an experience in itself as there was star fruit, papayas, persimmons, delicious mangos, and a tropical fruit that I don't know the name of but was delicious. It is a hike from the boat stops. If you take easy transfer, get off at Aquario and it's only a 5 or so minute walk, but you'll have to carry your suitcase as it's on beach sand. The hotel is out of the way outside of town, but it's the distance that gives it its serenity and charm.

Beautiful pousada surrounded by nature. In the morning I woke up to singing birds, enjoying the last minutes of the sunrise and a great view on the calm ocean.
Breakfast was delicious, lots of different fresh fruit (ones I barely ever saw in other hotels) and fresh fruit juices as well as scrambled eggs, cake, local products etc. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They will make sure your stay is as pleasant as possible. In the afternoon they serve some tea, coffee and cake so you won't starve after long days of hiking, boat trips.. Everything you need is close by.
The rooms are clean, fairly big and have a nice balcony to enjoy the morning or afternoon sun. The lounge area is also very recommendable, set in between nature, lots of plants, some birds hopping around and frogs sitting at the little pond. Board and card games are at your disposable.
Highly recommendable!

Set in natural surroundings, we were warmly welcomed and looked after by Laurent, Sebastien and the team. Comfortable room with excellent view. Located just off the beach and close enough to the main part of the village.
A nice touch with tea, coffee and cake freely served in the early evening. Good breakfast. Highly recommend.

This property is both comfortable and perfectly integrated in the nature. Located next to the beach and by easy walking distance from the two boat stops and the city centre. The owner pays attention to his guests and is keen on giving good advice for hiking and restaurants. A nice breakfast is served each morning. Good to know, there’s no concrete path on Ilha Grande, take a backpack to walk in the sand or be ready to pay a guy who will carry your stuff.
