I spent a couple of nights here, booked by a local university. Check-in was easy, a bit too much personal information requested on the form for my liking. Dated but functional lobby, plenty of places to sit, only one lift to serve 5 floors but short waits. Room spacious enough for one, quiet, not enough electrical outlets, I had to unplug a lamp to be able to use my gear. No adaptors for the odd Brazilian 3-point plugs at reception. Bathroom a bit dated too, but with the best shower, strong, hot, just great. Towels were old but serviceable. Excellent bed, clean sheets, spacious wardrobe. Breakfast is the high point though, scrambled eggs, no bacon, several fruits like pineapple, papaya, watermelon, a variety of sweet cakes, cheese, sliced ham, wholemeal and white bread, cheese puffs, savouries, carton orange juice, milk and coffee. Plenty of tables but only two look onto the street. Staff were helpful and friendly. Overall an easy going hotel, no hype, pleasant stay.

Room Tip: Third floor was fine (317).

Thanks to the working staff, my stay at the Hotel Sumatra was quite agreeable. They were efficient, direct, corteous and good-humored. The room was OK, the bed comfortable, everything was very clean and the view was nice. I managed to get a couple of very nice photos of the local sunset. All in all, a very good palce to stay.

Room Tip: Higher up, and with a window that faces west

A hotel with a look from the 70s, with old furniture in decent conditions, and a overall slightly shabby appearance. It is located on a main street, which makes the rooms a little noisy, even on the 5th floor. About 800 m from downtown. The room was clean, the bathroom perhaps would take advantage of some refurbishing. Breakfast was acceptable but not exciting. The personnel were nice but could not speak a word of English. Not particularly cheap. This is my only experience in Londrina but I suspect it can offer better accommodation.

It's an excellent choice for being in Londrina. Aside the regular room with flat TV, a/c, fridge, you'll get a nice breakfast with sorted fruits, hams, cheese, yogurt, orange juice (natural), tea, coffee, milk and chocolate. Free wifi internet and parking are definitely a bonus. And there's more: it costed only R$ 120,00 for a twin bed room and there's still a discount to fill up your car tank (more than 10%, compared to regular gas). Another tip: Just across the street there's a very good barbecue restaurant. Go for it!

Room Tip: Some rooms have the a/c just above your head on the bed. Try to avoid it.
