I cannot express enough how lucky we were to find this place by accident. We were walking along the streets in front of the river, following the sunset - and we stumbled upon this small restaurant. While it seemed relatively busy outside, we were seated outside very quickly, and offered a great range of drinks and even recommended a few by the waiter who really did know a lot. We were very lucky to try more green wine, something I have never seen outside of Porto, and then when we asked about the food, no question was too hard to answer.
Codfish was obviously the main feature of the menu, but for those none fish eaters there were several choices as well. We had eaten a lot of 'Bacalhau' (Codwish) in Porto, but everything was even more varied here, and we had a three course meal for very cheap (so many choices we had to try a few). Some of the menu was a little hard to understand when it came to desserts, but the waiter was able to try and explain what went into them, and what he considered best (not what was expensive, but most authentic), and we finished our meal with the sun setting on the river with the boats going past every now and then.
This place truly is a must-go
