From the very first second, we fell in love with the amazing panoramic view from the BALCONY! Since the apartment is located on the 4th floor of a recently build apartment block (with good elevator) you can watch easily over Vila Duraku's rooftop and see the colorful bay of Saranda & the Greek island of Corfu on the horizon... It's always a pleasure to sit on the balcony: half of it shady, half of it sunny. Only in the late afternoon it becomes too hot to enjoy the never boring business of the surrounding streets and harbor... Perfect for breakfast & meals outside; magnificent sunsets! The APARTMENT itself is very, very spacious and light. Large kitchen, living room & bedroom with a cool, paved floor. Practical bathroom with a good (rather small) shower & a washing machine. Always plenty of tap water & electricity. In contrast to other reviews, we never have difficulty with WIFI. Airco functions perfectly. For us the ventilator in the bedroom was comfortable enough. Kitchen has cute Ikea tablewear. Not so many cooking tools (but regarding the price of dinner in the city, that's no problem at all!) Tap WATER is not advised to drink, but plastic bottles of 8 liter at Big Market (200meter) cost only 100 lek (1euro). Small pizza restaurant & bakery very close to the apartment; shops/restaurants/bank/money changers within 5 minutes walking distance. Greek OWNER speaks fluent English & is always reachable by mail. Her mother lives in the same building and takes care of you in a very hospitable way (even bringing home made chicken pie and fresh donuts!) According to us the apartment is LOCATED in the most clean and modern side of town. Streets regularly cleaned, garbage containers cleaned daily & we even saw a man painting the city fences of some streets. Bus stop "Hotel Butrinti" 5 minutes away. Taxi's within reach ( <5euro to the ferry port). Driving rental car seems too crazy to us! Albanian drivers don't like to wait for even 1 second! Idea for a tasty snack: "byrek" with meat or cheese or spinach, only 60 lek (50 eurocent) each... Busy nightlife at the Boulevardi. No noise from neighbors in the apartment. So: short or long stay in Saranda : according to us this is the perfect place to discover the South of Albania!!!
The apartment is a wonderful place: great view, very close to the beach and the town center. Safe area, with the most gorgeous hosts we ever had. They went to local attractions with us, they did our laundry, the lady baked for us and let us park in their garage!
Excellent location. Very big apartment with air con in lounge. Fan in bedroom, quiet but would have liked air con in there. All very new and two big settees. We used a hdmi lead so could watch programmes from our laptop taped from home plus films. Fantastic view from balcony and at night lovely to see harbour along with a glass of wine from the supermarket almost next to apartment. Great pizza and pasta place called Alfa across the road, really cheap but brilliant food. On average €12 for two with a bottle of beer each. Mare nostrum is a must to eat. A little more expensive but the best in Saranda - €30 starter mains sparking water and two huge glasses of house wine. The owners mum who lives on the second floor brought us on our first morning home made doughnuts in honey and cinnamon. Fantastic and so delicious. She is a little sweetie. Guided the taxi man to the apartment from the port and was waiting for us with the keys. Lovely lady. Will def come back and stay here. People are so nice and friendly.

We stayed in this lovely apartment for 3 nights whilst visiting south west Albania. It is modern, spacious and tastefully furnished; a couple of minutes from the sea and supermarket. The owner was most helpful and her mother spoilt us with home made Albanian donuts and ginger cookies - all delicious. Our only difficulty was with the WiFi, which often didn't work but the phone signal was very strong.
The apartment was very large , spacious and clean. The view was amazing which only enhanced the tranquil atmosphere. The host spoke English, Albanian and Greek which was lovely. We were also spoilt with traditional Albanian cheese pie and doughnuts. The location of the apartment was brilliant two minutes to the seafront , restaurants , food shops and bus stop ( 100 Leke ) to ksamil - I cannot wait to come again. Please note that wifi can be a bit sporadic and if you are over 6ft 3 ins the bed can be a bit snug. I loved this place and I am sure you will too.
