We were passing through town again so I thought.."it's only for one-night, how bad could it be, right?" I was so wrong. First, while unloading from our car, we saw people just sitting in their car smoking. I looked out our window an hour later, they were still there. With Amarillo's high crime rate, you would think that the hotel owner would hire security or at least some cameras...no, nothing!
At the lobby counter, there was a sign that read No Pool and No Wi-Fi. When I asked the receptionist when the pool was going to be fixed, she did not know. When I asked when the Wi-Fi was going to be fixed, she said "maybe" the technician was going to come tomorrow. That's when I realized that these things are not broken at all. The hotel has chosen to purposely shut down these things so that they do not have to pay for upkeeps. That's pretty sneaky, right?
Our room again was paper-thin. We heard everything in the adjacent rooms. Funny thing, there were only a few cars in the parking lot, yet, all the guests were all cramped on one floor. Hmm, less cleaning expenses?More
