We have been to Doolittle's for quick bites before. Today we wanted food fit for St. Patrick's Day. Doolittle's really fit the bill. Great reuben sandwich and true to the letter corned beef and cabbage. Green beer was good. Service was excellent. They have done such a good job of making a comfortable and charming setting inside an historic building. A few very high-end touches mix well with the wooden floors and the original brick wall. People of all ages eat there. This included a family celebrating a birthday - children and all. Very nice place.

We've been exploring restaurants regularly since moving near Anderson the first of the year, and Doolittle's is our best overall experience thus far. Many local places are closed Sunday and/or Monday, so a Monday was a good day to try Doolittle's. Not busy, good service, not a lot of noise. All 3 of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals, plus the Fish Taco appetizer. The Chicken BBQ stack was fabulous and a hefty meal, appetizer crab cake outstanding from a cook purportedly with Maryland experience and the traditional fish and chips expertly finished off the trio. Fries were equally as good with the fish. There are several more items we'd like to try on our next visit, which will be soon.

Great restaurant all around! Creative specialty entrees, delicious sauces made in-house, amazing seafood. The staff is top-notch and very attentive to the customers. Live band was good. One visit and you feel like family.

Came here on yesterday for a family gathering. Had spoken to Alexa the day before and all her promises were true. This location is in the downtown area, located in a beautiful old building. We had a little problem parking but I think that's just the charm of a small town. When we entered the building, we were immediately greeted and seated. Our seating needs were immediately resolved seamlessly especially since we did have a wheelchair. Our server was prompt, courteous, and knowledgeable. The menu was very varied giving us wonderful choices. I had read that their fries and tomato basil soup was not to be missed. I had planned to order the tomatoes basil but was swayed and ended up ordering the she crab soup and it was delicious. Fries were outstanding. We all had a wonderful lunch and the crab cakes were fantastic as were the burgers. For us, the only downfall was the seating. They readily accommodated our needs but we would have preferred a round table, just hard for conversation to flow. However, we did not see one that would have accommodated us. So...we would definitely return because we had an excellent lunch and would just have to adjust as we did. Our server was wonderful as was the hostess. Extremely concerned about us having a great time. Very professional. Very nice....the entire experience just charming. You were right Alexa !!! Again, the food was wonderful but the server and the hostess made it a winning experience on our visit. The hostess even came outside to take our picture. Great experience.

We visited for lunch on Kathy’s birthday February 5. We did tomato basil soup and hand cut fries weakness’s. Service is always prompt and full of southern hospitality. Try the crab cakes, tuna appetizer and any of the soups and sandwiches are delicious.
