This was my first time to try The Village Cafe and will not be my last. The cafe specializes in local, fresh foods and has put together creative items that are delicious. We were greeted by a young man who asked if he could explain any thing on the menu. Samples of several items were displayed in a glass case as you enter the line to place orders. Upon recommendation of the young man we both chose the tomato bisque and half Cuban sandwich. Both were excellent choices--the bisque had bits of pureed vegetables that turned it into something different and so good. The half Cuban sandwich was very tasty. We ended our meals with small Gelatos after being given sample tastes to make our choice. This was a perfect ending to our meal. This is a fairly new restaurant which was spotlessly clean with a comfortable, friendly atmosphere. Guests place orders at the counter and food is brought to the table.
