We've stopped here several times now passing through Damon. Wonderful hamburgers! Everything else on the menu looks good too. The staff have all been friendly and helpful. Will definately be stopping here again!

This is not a place you'll just stumble upon--it takes a 45-minute drive up a vertiginous stretch of country road to get to the Pinehurst Inn. But it's worth the trip.

The Inn is charming and country-cozy without being kitschy. The restaurant is small and intimate, run by a husband-and-wife team. Don hosts and serves while Denise cooks.

Our meals were delicious, from the fresh English muffin bread starter to the warm apple pie cobbler dessert. Entrees featured fresh seasonal ingredients, well-prepared and imaginatively seasoned. Fish dishes were really fresh, cooked just right to melt in your mouth! My husband thought the ribs were great. Don was friendly and funny and service was perfectly timed, too--we didn't feel rushed at all but neither did the meal drag on.

The restaurant is small, so you'll want to make a reservation in advance to avoid disappointment!

On our way back to Iowa from Ashland, OR, we happened on the Pinehurst Inn, and are SO GLAD we stopped! Owners, Donnie & Denise are delightful - they even sang songs as Donnie played piano to entertain us! Set on the mountain, the home is charming. Spotless. Beautifully decorated. Excellent food viewing at a lovely garden. We had a very nice time visiting with "locals" who came for lunch. All-around it was a wonderfully relaxing meal.
We urge travelers to take the time if you live nearby, or make a stop on your way over the mountain for a meal or an overnight - you'll be glad you did!

Tucked away from most cell services and with no internet available, this "house in the woods" welcomes you with charm and friendly owners/management. After wandering around out side to see the spacious property, we enjoyed the interior antiques and then a friendly, leisurely dinner, chattering with the waiter who happens to be one of the owners. Our food was well prepared and my "take home" box was Cheerfully labeled to warn off my husband. At the table I had fresh brewed decaf coffee presented in a French Press. we took home our mini loaves of their fresh baked bread as it will make a wonderful French Toast later this week.
