Spent one week in Nagi beach hotel at the end of September.
Firstly, need to emphasise how good the pool, bar and beach staff are - never too intrusive but friendly and delivered great service consistently. I found myself going to the pool bar for a drink after dinner most nights as you could guarantee a good and friendly service. Pool area was nice and clean with plenty of sunbeds and the pool was a good size. Beach area also had plenty of sun loungers available but you are expected to buy drinks from the bar for the use of these. Unfortunately, there is not much space to put down a towel so using the sunbeds is almost obligatory - however it was only 2 lire for a bottle of water so you are not paying over the odds. The hotel is also right on the beach front literally 2 yards form the end of the bar area is the beach! Drinks from the bar area were approx 6 lire a beer and 12 lire cocktails.
Guhmbet itself is lively and filled with lots of bars, and a few restaurants. The bars and bar street are typically loud and full of drunken revellers - so not ideal for couples but if your up for a laugh then head that way. Divers restaurant is located just off bar street in a quiet secluded spot coupled with great food. Definitely worth a try.
The bars along the beach front also offer a quieter option (although we went towards the end of the season) for drinks. The Soho bar was especially nice - although watch out some do but 'entertainment' on. Always worth avoiding!
Near-by Bodrum is easily accessible via the Dolmus, minibus shuttle service. This service is very cheap at 2.75 one way - thats about £1. They are easy to use once you get the hang of it - Simply hail like a taxi and get on and take a seat. We learnt it is better to pay once you get on, at the start of your journey - just approach the driver and hand over your money (usually whilst they are driving), I always liked to provide exact change where possible. Be aware they can be busy and I had to stand a few times, the journey to bodrum was only 10 minutes max so it wasn't too uncomfortable. The dolmus takes you right into bodrum centre and you can work down the high-street to the harbour and shopping area, only a 3 minute walk.
Bodrum has some nice places to eat on the harbour the Marina Yacht Club Restaurant was really lovely and not to much more expensive plus gave great views over the marina. Had one poor experience with a family run restaurant of which the name escapes me - poor food and poor service. Beach bars on the other side of the shopping centre are a great place to relax and have a drink.
The rooms in Nagi beach were a bit shabby and outdated but for the price did the job and were cleaned daily. Balcony a bit dissapointing, but everything else was great.
Worth a visit for young couples on a budget or young groups. Rooms let it down slightly so more 3.5 than a 3!
