I loved wandering around the ruins no one bothered you some of them are still being dug out of the sand it was peaceful we walked it from the gates where you pay to go to the beach we sat in on a large stone watching tortoises wandering around you need to see it to get the atmosphere of the place we walked through it to the fantastic beach

I recommend everybody passing nearby visiting the place. But better do it early morning (6-8 AM) while temperature is not too high. In addition to baths and the theater, I also discovered excavations of an ancient lighthouse, destroyed by the tsunami. Then you can walk by the dunes to the beach.

The Patara ruins are truly stunning, the work that has been done to recreate their former glory conjures up that wonderful feeling of being able to see what a place was like originally, hundreds of years ago.

Greta historical ruins, well in tact. Spectacular views of the artefacts. Not a bunch of stones. It gives you the feeling that you were in that ancient city ones.

Very atmospheric and interesting ruins. When we were there, we were the only visitors. It was lovely just wondering freely around, reading at leisure the information boards and just soaking up the atmosphere. Beautiful.

Combine it with a visit to the beach which is very close. There is a small fee at the beginning of the road which covers both the ruins and the beach.
