Rizal Park is near the seaside. Philippine is hot all year round, so its better to take a stroll either early morning, or late, late afternoon in time for the sun set. A lot of changes and renovation was undergone. There are kids playground on the sand and a good running space near the seaside.

A large park dedicated to Jose Rizal, the father of modern Philippines. It has various interesting themed gardens, as well as a musical fountain, and museums as well. It also has images/busts of various Philipinos dedicated to the fight against various aggressors, such as the Spaniards. There is also an area dedicated to Jose Rizal, with diaromas depicting his life accomplishments, as well as his execution. It is good to just walk the park to see how the citizens spend their time, and to also understand this part of the country's history.

Large park, museums were closed for some reason. Statues of prominent locals. Take a walk or ride the little train. the guys selling tours are annoying.

Now I know why people flock in this beautiful place. This indeed is beautiful, clean and refreshing. Aside from the fact that it's historic, it's also perfect for family outings and even just random strolling with friends. The sunset here is also a must-see. Stunning.

I was really keen on seing the orchid and butterfly garden but it is under renovation. The Japanese and Chinese Gardens are worth seeing though. When entering the garden you must sign in the visitors log book. Entry is free. You can also take a mini train tour for PHP 50 I think.
