I had the great experience of dining twice at this outstanding restaurant. This place just has a great feel about it from the moment you walk in. It is well set out and plenty of cosy areas. The staff are excellent , very friendly and with good knowledge of the product.
There is a good wine list and plenty of cocktails and beers. The food is the highlight....Everyone on out table of 6 were super impressed with the quality and flavours.
We all had entree's including dumplings, soups, satays and seafood ...GREAT.
The mains maintained the high standard. My dish of prawns in a butter sauce was as nice a dish as I've eaten. Everyone was satisfied, so that's why we returned 2 nights later ............... Tony.A

The service is really friendly and the place is lovely, but as you can see in the photo some portions are too small for the price. Overall, I would recommend this place and it certainly has better tasting Chinese//Malaysian food than other places.

My girlfriend and I stayed in KL on two separate occasions and we went back to Opium gladly!
We tried three dishes in total and all were first rate, these were: Wanton noodles; deep fried lamb and camembert balls and Beef Rendang - the pick of the bunch.
Excellently spiced and flavoured, generous portions and still cheaper than western restaurants. It is easy to see why this is rated as one of the best in KL.

The drinks are served with amazing style- smoking cocktails in tea pots all with a twist on the traditional. Need to be seen to be believed and taste as good as they look.
The snacks are also well above average with the usual satay plus many other delicious choices.
Best of all is the service and Marvin is the the best of the best.

Cute and cozy restaurant! Kind of a typical plates, original but for me, too spicy!! Needed to lick a block of ice after dinner
