Third stay at the Capitol and loved it as usual! Right in the middle of all the shopping and food you could possibly want. Our rooms were clean and spacious, staff were very friendly and breakfast was great. Yes the location can be noisy but that didn't bother us at all. That's KL!! Excellent value for money and would stay again.
i have stayed there twice. Once was 1999 and one just recent Aug 2012. The room is huge and very clean and tidy. The location is excellent! The staff members are very friendly. Glad that i went back to the same hotel.
It was my 3rd trip but first along with my family. As usually service is excellent by staffs of Capitol from check-in to check-out. I was in a Superior Room @ 7th Floor [702] - nice room, in terms of size it may not big but not small though. Bathroom is spacious with basic toiletries. One can book all types of tours from the concierge and got discount voucher this time which was really a worthy one at Berjaya Times Square Theme Park - thanks to staff Peter for his kind co-operation as always. Actually, nothing to complain about Hotel Capitol except lobby area. I must say to management to improve the lobby size, amenities and facilities like Federal. Federal is another sister concern of this hotel group located just a minute away where we went for swimming as Capitol has no pool has their own. Will be back for sure :-)
we asked for a room at a higher floor overlooking the city center and the Petronas Towers and we received exactly that. the hotel is very conveniently located near transports and shopping centers.

- we asked for a taxi for the airport early in the morning. the staff at the reception told us it was 120 MYR so we thought they would reserve us a fixed-price shuttle. in fact, next morning we took a meter taxi that was contacted by someone from the hotel reception. Even if the total cost of the trip was around 80 MYR (highway tax included) we had to pay 120 MYR. The difference was probably split between the taxi and the hotel staff.
I consider that is terribly inappropriate that the staff of the hotel participates in these kind of taxi-scam activities.

The room was very clean and bed very comfortable. The reception and all the staff is EXTREMELY nice and very helpful! When you need any information you don't even have to ask, they probably already offer you a solution!
When we checked out we left the luggage in the hotel cause our bus was at 10pm. The reception offered us a room to have a shower before leaving to the bus station!
Perfect location! Close to train and monorail station and also to one of the main bus station (Putu)
The guests of this hotel can also use the swimming pool of the close Federal hotel!
Overall good value and I would definitely recommend it to my friends.
