Location-The medan tuaku
monorail is literally at its door
step, which connects us to KL sentral
from the airport, bukit bintang and berjaya times square for all the shopping action with a breeze.

Service- Arrived hotel at 930am and was pleasantly allowed to check in to the Starwood preferred guest floor. The friendly receptionists had made efforts to attend to our room request.

Rooms- Truly amazing and comfortable stay. Twin rooms comes with two queen
size bed, 8 pillows and a daily supply of 6 bottles of drinking water. Quality of stay had indeed liven up to the Starwood brand. Hotel decor Exudes both grand and tropical Asian flavor in both the rooms and lobby areas. Room size of 42sqm with walk-in wardrobe was probably the biggest hotel room in KL city. Our rooms have view to the KL tower. You may also request for free ice and shaver.

Special tribute especially to the house keeping team on our floor (we stay at room 3216) for their heart-warming fine touches made to our room while we were outside.

Tips- The street behind Sheraton is lined with pubs and bars and there is a malay coffee house that sells satay etc round the clock. The only SOGO in KL can also be reach on foot in 10mins, with a weekend pasar malam across the road that sells really cheap buys. Register yourself at the conceirge for free morning/noon shuttle to KLCC or Bukit Bintang for all the convenience. A small note is that not all taxi drivers may know the location of this hotel.

As a frequent leisure traveller across Asia, Sheraton is probably the one of the best i have come across. No regrets for paying the premium. Coming back for sure the next time im in KL. Thanks Sheraton!

Hotel needs makeover but very clean
not central to main drag shops BUT free shuttle to attractions + next to monorail
Club Level staff FAB! Mentioned that we had a 11:30pm flight to Europe & they extended our checkout till 6pm & invited us to Club drinks/supper till will fly. Very welcoming to our toddler :)
Stayed in suite. Worth it with a toddler, lots of space for play.
Great shower/bathroom
Very comfy bed
TERRIBLE room service food
EXCELLENT Breakfast downstairs & food in club at night

Room Tip: suite is best with kids & club level access as kids are allowed!

Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights at the end of march, before I made this booking I did quite a bit of research on hotels in the area of KL as our stay was very important to me as it was a surprise stay for my partner to celebrate our annivarsary of our civil partnership. I emailed the hotel manager mr chuck abbot on the 25th January informing him of our stay and that it was going to be our annivarsary and asked for his help in making it a memorable one for my partner which was going to be a surprise. I had an email back from a ms pei ling informing me that annivarsary ammenties would be supplied during our stay and that we would be looked after which I thought was great! Checked in at the hotel where the gentleman congratulated us on our annivarsary. Apart from this , this is all that happened, no fruit in the room, not even a card NOTHING.i felt really disappointed as ms pei ling assured me that we would be looked after and feel that this was not the case....nothing was followed through. I would like to add that the sheraton is a lovely hotel, a great room, fab breakfast and pleasant staff but feel that my expectations were not met mainly because we are a gay couple the annivarsary request was retracted by the hotel, would I stay here again.....properly not

Stayed here for 4 nights in Club room. Grand old hotel with a magnificent staircase in lobby! Friendly helpful staff.

Room was large with big wardrobe space and large bathroom - however I thought the furnishings were a bit old fashioned and dated, not my taste but you can see the old grandeur there. Room was on 33rd floor but we didn't get the rooms facing the twin towers so the view was not very good though we could see the Menara tower.Could hear the noise from the bars in street below which went on till 5am some nights! Not so good if you are a light sleeper which I am.

However the best thing about the hotel was the buffet breakfast in Essence restaurant - fabulous! Huge selection of food including western and all types of Asian food and freshly squeezed fruit juices of whatever combination you like and I also loved the ice creams! I know - ice creams for breakfast? But it was so delicious and creamy and irresistible!

We also had the use of the Club lounge for cocktails and canapés in evening which were great too and the barman and other staff there were very willing to serve our cocktails. Thanks guys, we loved it all!

Location wise the hotel is not in main shopping area of bukit Bintang but monorail station is nearby and very easy to use to get around.

Overall, I would be very happy to stay in hotel again the next time I am in KL.

Room Tip: Get a room away from the street where the bars are!

This time around staying at the Sheraton Imperial we booked a Deluxe Suite - got a great deal paying in advance on the Starwood website.

Checking In - arriving at the hotel at 6am, room check in being at 3pm, we weren't very confident there would be a room waiting for us upon our arrival.
We were told that our suite wasn't ready, however, we were more than pleasantly surprised when we were told that as Starwood Preferred Guests we would be given a deluxe club room until our suite was ready at no extra cost!!!
What fantastic service and it's these extra touches that make the Sheraton such a standout choice from it's competitors to us.

The Deluxe suite is beautiful - luxurious room!
As you walk in and explore it just keeps getting bigger and bigger!
The deluxe suite has a powder room / extra toilet, a large lounge room and work area with a 2 seater couch / 2 armchairs / coffee table / side buffet / work desk and plenty of cupboard and drawer space.
After the lounge there are double glass doors leading to the walk in wardrobe / dressing room, the huge bathroom with glass walled in double shower and bath, double basins, separate toilet and massive bedroom with Sweet Sleeper bed and a 2 seater lounge to sit and watch the twinkling skylight view of KL!
There has been previous reviews regarding noise from the dance clubs outside, we didn't hear a peep from the 33rd floor.

The club lounge - great, as it was last trip, with small buffet breakfast in the morning, all day non-alcoholic drinks, evening nibbles and cocktails, wine, beer etc.
There is free WiFi in the club, however you still have to pay if you want wifi in your room. This is an area that the Sheraton Hotels can improve on and offer their club guests free wifi in the rooms.

Restaurants are great -
Celestial Court pecking duck & Dim Sum is yummy and priced similar to Australia
Essence breakfast buffet has a great variety and the egg bar is awesome
Toastina's iced Frappe's are delicious
Villa Dinelli's pasta & pizza is wonderful and the ambiance is so romantic. **Beware if ordering water though, this is not free and we ended up with a large bottle of still water for a cost of RM40 (aud$12.50)!!! ** one of our appetizers was a bit of a wait and they gave us free minestrone soup while we waited, a great service touch!
Room service is great, very prompt and priced well

Location - The monorail station is very close and a short taxi ride away from the hotel is Sogo, a massive department store and well worth a visit. After staying in Bukit Bintang on our last trip you can really feel the difference of being that little bit further away from everything, however if you don't want the busy streets and want to have a more relaxed stay
then the Sheraton location is perfect.

Staff - staff at the Sheraton KL are amazing, and as always willing to help... club staff , especially Ala, even organised for our engagement celebration the room to be covered in red rose petals, a yummy chocolate cake and a beautiful bouquet of long stemmed roses. A mention must go to Ala in the club lounge, always with a greeting and a smile for us, it was great to always see his familiar face!

There is just something about the Sheraton Hotels for us that makes it exciting to see what else the Sheraton brand has to offer around the world, for our future holidays!

Room Tip: Spend the extra and upgrade to the club floor levels - and request a towers view!!
