“What a hotel!!! Super Comfortable for a cheap Price. Good location”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 May 2012

awesome hotel..
absolutely a 5 star hotel with all the aminities possible.

we stayed in the standard rooms, which were huge>>

the room was huge with a king size soft comfortable bed, a 42 inch lcd television, a study table (bigger than what i have in my office), HUGE bathroom with a nice round tub and a seperate shower cubicle.

you cant get a better room for just 300 Ringgits a night

the pool is huge.

there was construction going on the main entrance of the hotel, but their back entrance was as good as any other 5 star hotel.

check in took a lot of time, but after seeing the room, we totally forgot about it.

check out was quick.

please avoid travelling on a friday to KL , as the traffic is crazy and it takes about an hour to reach a 10 min destinations.

there is a subway station right across the street of the hotel.

The pertonas towers is a 10 min walk from the hotel.

will recommend this hotel to any1.. and will stay in this hotel again

Room Tip: dont go for any further upgrades to the standard rooms. they are simply awesome.

Seamless check-in. Typical intercon standard so rooms were okay. Service at club lounge was great. Location wasn't very convenient for tourists, but a complimentary shuttle to bukit bintang (at hourly intervals) did help. Breakfast wasn't amazing - reasonable variety.

Dear Weept,

Thank you for the feedback on Tripadvisor. We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed the Club InterContinental Lounge. In addition to the shuttle service we offer to KLCC and Bukit Bintang area, we are located right next door to a subway station just a 2 minute walk from our hotel. We have sent your comment on the breakfast to our Food & Beverage Director to review with the team. Only with feedback can we continue to improve.

Once again, we thank you and we look forward to welcoming you back to the hotel soon.

Sincerely,
Juliet Wong

This hotel was a major disappointment. Wifi didn't work (staff admitted that is a permanent problem); it was extremely noisy at night, even on the 19th floor (it seems there is a nightclub near the hotel); and the food and rooms were not as good as some other KL hotels. On the plus side, the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom had an excellent shower. However, my advice would be - especially for business travelers - to pay a bit extra and stay at the Mandarin Oriental, which is much, much better.

Dear kwjnewman,

Thank you for the review on Tripadvisor. Please accept our apologies with reference to the noise and your disatisfaction with the wifi connection. We have recently upgraded our offerings to meet the needs of our guests, especially our business travelers so we will look into your stay and work on the solution. We do hope you will consider us again when you stay in KL. This week we revealed our new lobby after renovating and we think you will enjoy the new look.

We do hope to welcome you back on your next visit to KL.

This used to be the Nikko hotel before the intercon management took over. Location is great. Right next to the LRT(light rail transit) staton which takes you straight to Sentral state from where you can catch either the Express train to the airport or the bus to the budget terminal.
The entrance was being heavily redone so the lobby is a bit small however that means they have dropped their room rates to a mere us$110 a night. Great value.
The breakfast which was included however was a disappointment on both mornings I was there. I have stayed at both greater and minor hotels in KL, and the fare was not only smaller in terms of range, the food was so-so. Example was the coconut rice was soggy that is if you could get to it. Even the nearby Maya hotel which is smaller had better food.
The room on the other hand was great. I was upgraded to the newly redone premium room which had a gigantic super king sized bed. All the usual mod cons were in there.
Overall grat value right now but likely to go up in price once they finish with their ,
