We used it during the day and in the evening we're able to hop on and hop off at the attractions and see everything also allowed us to re hop on at night time it's you go and find something to eat. Found it very good except at the end of the day where no matter where you are the next stop is the stop did everyone has to get off at at 8 p.m.
It is undoubtedly the fastest, simplest and easiest way to discover and experience Kuala Lumpur, which I particularly recommend
• both for those who stay there for a short period
• or for those who visit the first time and do not know where to start exploring this booming Southeast Asian city
• as well as for people who have already stayed there, because the circuit is full of discoveries and passes through so many places.
The Hop on Hop Off Bus circuit in Kuala Lumpur travels through the main streets, squares and busy avenues, with 23 stops.
Passenger visitors can start their tour at any location reported by the specific bus stops hop on hop off. These stops are very visible with a very distinguished sign which is a totem which includes the name and number of the stop in white background in a red circle itself inscribed in a square, which extends at the bottom by another rectangle which indicates the Circuit and other information
Passengers can explore all these attractions at their own pace by getting off at the stop of their choice, visiting the surrounding area and taking the bus back to the same stop or a stop further depending on the location shown on the bus map.
These buses are easy to spot as they are two-story with bright colours, the open deck is very secure for visitors and allows better views and is best for taking pictures.
Inside the bus has air-condition, the sides windows offer great vision.
Hop On Hop Off buses in Kuala Lumpur operate between 9:00 am and 8:00 pm every day of the week at intervals of one-half hour, except in bad weather conditions
Rates for tourists are around 10 euros for one day and less than 20 euros for 2 days
Tickets can be purchased on the bus, by internet, from authorized hotels or Hop-On Hop-Off counters.
The circuit lasts about 3 hours continuously if you do not go off anywhere. At some stops such as national museum, national palace, square mardeka or KL tower, the bus stops there for about a quarter of an hour to allow passengers to take pictures of these places.
The ticket duration is 24 hours so you can do a the circuits in 2 parts, one in the afternoon one day and the next part the following morning, although you might go through places you have already been but this should not be a problem
You can take this bus for 24 hours or 48 hours to go around kuala lumpur you will visit alot of places and the bus stops are everywhere.
and you pay only 45 RM.
you can hop off and take the next bus after 30 mins
Positives - The bus is cheap and easy (albiet not as cheap as the trains, but a bit less confusing). It takes you right to the doorstep of the attractions which is very useful for those places out of the centre or not next to train stops (bird park, palace, national museum) so worth doing for these places.
Negatives - Rush hour in KL is between 4-7pm and the city grinds to a halt, particularly if there is a thunderstorm. We waited over an hour for a bus in china town (stop 8) rather than 20-30mins and abandoned the trip at stop 11 (KL Sentral) to get on the train system.
Also the bus goes one way on a loop and can take well over an hour so plan carefully.
I would use the bus again but use early in the day (it is quicker due to traffic) and use to get to those more distance tourist attractions. Its also a good way of getting your bearings in the city.
Very satisfied. It covers a large area of KL.
Ticket price is very affordable.
Best way to discover KL in a short time.
Firstly, I need to mention how great the staff were. We used the bus a several times over a couple days and we were very impressed with how polite and nice the staff were - great work! We did the full loop a couple of times and there is a couple of points where you go through the same area. Surely you could have a full loop without doubling up on areas. The commentary does not always line up with the destination. And you need to provide more info when stopping at a destination e.g. The palace - we didn't know if you can enter or not, also ticket prices for some places (tower). Otherwise you have to leave the bus to find out for yourself and then wait for another bus.
Buses were clean and comfortable and as I said - great team of staff!
