reasonably priced and don't believe the guide book saying you can do this in 40 min. asyou be selling yourself short if you did in this time. Best meandered around and give yourself time to enjoy the views

A collection of European houses and some artifacts from the settlers in Nagasaki from 1700's to 1940's. Pleasant gardens. Some nice views. Not much of interest from an historic viewpoint and not enogh material available in english.

...OK, some great houses and interesting stories. But we found after two houses we had seen enough that era of European-American lifestyle in Nagasaki.

This I saw as part of a Japanese language tour of Nagasaki and it definitely was the highlight of the tour for me. As an opera buff and having seen "Madama Butterfly" many times, it was a treat to see the actual location of the action of the show, and it was fun to see a statue of Puccini with a butterfly on his shoulder.

I went when things weren`t in bloom yet, but it still was worth a visit. There`s a lookout where you can see all of Nagasaki from. It was very scenic, albeit quite hazy at the time.
