After seeing this restaurant be fairly highly ranked here and realizing it was close to our hotel, we wanted to try it out. Our concierge immediately recognized the name and told us they are very famous for their freshly made noodles and it is a Michelin Star restaurant.
We went for a late lunch and discovered there was not a picture menu or an English menu available (no problem!), so with our lack of Japanese and our kind waitress' limited English, we asked her to select a hot dish for us. Now, after looking at their website, I've learned we had the seasonal 'Ice Fish Noodles' that were very good. The local couple next to us had TWO baskets of noodles each - maybe that would be something to try if I ever make it back to Osaka.
Our waitress was so sweet and patient with us throughout our lunch. When she saw me take a few photos, she immediately offered to take one of us. It's actually one of the few we have of the two of us together from our trip.
I'm not sure if they take reservations, but it might be a good idea if you plan to go for dinner since it is quite popular and not very large.
