The main draw of this hotel is its close proximity to Shinsaibashi subway station. Considering the bustling location, it's also surprisingly quiet.

Rooms are on the small side, and that's in comparison to similar Japanese hotels. Breakfast not included, so cannot comment on that. There is a Family Mart nearby (walk out of hotel away from the subway station).

Staff lacked warmth and/or smiles, but this place met the need of a clean and quiet bed for the night. And the foot massage machine in the room was a pleasant bonus.

Location of the hotel puts you in the middle of the (shopping and eating) action at Shinsaibashi. The hotel is near Exit 1 of the Shinsaibashi Metro station.

Commuting in Osaka, it is more convenient to use the Osaka Metro and stay on the Midosuji Line compared to the JR Loop Line since it runs in a straight line to the key stations of Namba, Shinsaibashi and Umeda. Staying at this location, you can get to many of the key hubs quickly.

Villa Fontaine Shinsaibashi has 3 things: perfect shopping location, good spread of breakfast, and very nice free foot massages. I come with a family of four and staid in their standard room for two nights in early June, and the hotel impressed me with efficient check-in, abundance of towels and cloths, and an in-room foot massage machine! We are right at the door of shinsaibashi shopping district, and everything a shopper wants is right at our door steps, so the location is bar none. Breakfast is included, with a nice spread of western and japanese food, definitely heart warming, delicious, and fulfilling. I also like their water pressure and the shower/bath tub taps, very efficient and nicely equipped. I can't help but comment about their bathing soap and shampoos - very efficient and effective. If you like to jog like me, you can get out early mornings and run through shinsaibashi shopping district and go straight north to Nakanoshima Park (in 15mins), where you can run around the beautiful river banks and park decors. Or, if you like to venture a bit, you can even run north east to famous Osaka castle(in 30mins), which is even more fun if you do it in the morning, cuz there is definitely no crowds blocking your view. I appreciate the hotel's service including holding your luggage after you check-out, and lending out umbrellas for free (yes it did rain on our stay). I would recommend shoppers and gourmet lovers to stay here if they love Osaka and its many wonders to offer.

Stayed for 4 nights and i would say is pretty decent good hotel. Not super small. Able to place 2 luggages and space to walk around. Breakfast not much variety but quality is good. Would recommend this hotel who is looking for decent place to stay with reasonable price.

Hotel is decent and nicely located at shinbaisashi right near to the subway station. Their are so many good restaurants nearby and dotonbori is also walking distance so location is amazing. Rooms are small and breakfast was average though.
