Good night's sleep, different types of pillows; a standard soft pillow, and a thicker pillow that has a soft side (western style), or turn it for buckwheat. Can enjoy the outside air with the window open during the day, as it is a quieter location. Get a DOUBLE, the economy double is really single or semi double at most, only suitable for one adult or perhaps 2 children!

Air con works but can't seem to choose your temperature, no problem with the setting though. Didn't choose a stay with breakfast. Looks like it was built before Nagano Winter Olympics, probably not renovated since...actually the press button sound system has the feel of an old person's house, so has the feel of stepping back in time, which is kind of comical, and the hallways kind of have the smell and feel of a government filing area or high school accommodation, but I'm not a hipster or into fashion so not fussed. Also full computer with printing in lobby if you didn't bring a device, or need a mouse, slow (via wifi) but came in handy.

Good location, pleasant view. Very good service, extra pillow and bowls and spoons were given upon request; first time on this trip we got a bowl! Also staff helpful during the stay, limited English but will eventually figure it out if you show something related. As long as you are happy to accept great service in a nice location (not impress someone with presentation), I'd recommend.

Booked via Rakuten for 2 nights 15,000 yen per night.
Breakfast included and a JAL cup noodle per person per night.
Very nicely situated for Zenkoji temple walkaround.
Supermarket near by.
Slightly far away from Nagano station if you have many luggages.
Their award winning breakfast didn't do it for me, I'm afraid.
The worrying factor was that they seem to allow "Delivery Health" girls to enter and exit the building.
Also, charge for staying guests car parking.
Improvement wouldn't hurt.

Staff miss often. Room is not wide. Just a Hotel.

About breakfast, it seems there were so many kind of dishes. But actually, they were almost seasonings. Of course, I know that NAGANO is famous for MISO. But too many beans. They expect to eat them and rice together to us. Beans, beans, beans.......and dried seaweed,Natto, root vegetables mix etc. To make matters worse, the pickles and side dishes were too much salted. I could't eat.

They are proud of the breakfast. But if so, they should cook. They should compete with taste rather than numbers of dishes! They need to strive.

The rooms here are small but very clean and serviceable. The breakfast buffet will suit most tastes. The staff were very helpful with our questions.
It feels like the hotel has not been updated since the Olympics and is due for a renovation, but old does not equate with shabby and we enjoyed our stay here.
