I went there after my Arashiyama Trip, because the weather turned rainy. You can simply rent a towel, if you didn’t plan to go there. Entrance is very cheap (1050 Yen) and the rent for a towel is 200 Yen. You have as much time as you want and there are pools inside and outside. A sauna and steam bath. It is clean and not so full, of you get there after lunch.
I highly recommend it!
It is separated bathing for men and women and you bath naked. The English is moderate, but they have paper-informations. First get your shoes in a locker, the locker key is the voucher for your cloth locker key in the bath. Go to the entrance counter, change the key, get your towels and go inside to undress. :) Enjoy!

This place is like a full on Japanese spa. There are gender separated onsen and each has access to multiple outdoor and indoor onsen. The men's section had two natural water onsen (water from actual hot springs). There was also a large, impressive sauna with a TV inside! Most of the people we saw here were locals, and the location is definitely not in a touristy part of Arashiyama, but it was worth the trek over here. They also have a fish spa for your feet and a great cafe and smoothie station. While not the most "scenic" onsen, it's definitely my favorite onsen in the Kyoto area.

But it gets a little crowded, as this is the only onsen in Arashiyama, Kyoto.

There are a few outdoor pools and there is an indoor pool.

Entrance fee was around 1000yen.

There is a restaurants which sells food at reasonable price.

It is easily accessible on the Arashiyama Jr line.

Mostly locals, and I think I was the only tourist during my visit. The pools and sauna are great. Great restaurant to have your meal after a relaxing bath. About 5mins walk from the Arisugawa tram station on the Keifuku Randen line. Actually I didn’t want to let too many people know about this place because once it becomes touristy it will not be nice anymore!
