We booked last minute so this was the only option we had.
The hotel is in a location that if you are a tourist you have to take the taxi or metro to go anywhere.
The rooms are extremely small, the onsen is small and the service is ok not fantastic.
Even if they are trying to be nice, the language barrier is a problem.
We tried to book different restaurants, but they accept only bookings made by the hotel(don’t know why) and it took me 20 min to explain what i need them to do, and it took them 3h to make the call. So we lost the available seats.
If you ask for recommendation, they look on the google because they have no idea, and i asked about the cherry blossom spots, again she was not helpful.
I understand everything but Kyoto is a touristic place and they should try harder.
The restaurant of the hotel doesn’t keep seats for the guests, so you need to book in advance?! The restaurants of the hotels should always keep some seats for the guest.
Overall, it was ok.More
