“Elegant temple, a jewel of Kyoto”
Reviewed 24 February 2012

This golden temple stands on its place elegantly. It's a perfect combination between a temple, pond, birds, and nice trees.Everyone who sees it will say that it is great. We have to take turn to take picture with the temple as a background.
It's a must see temple when you visit Kyoto.

“If you see one temple in kyoto - this should be it”
Reviewed 24 February 2012

Kyoto is a city of temples! If you can only see one - this should be it. Its rich in colour and history and the gardens are magnificent.

Cute teahouse to have a tea and cake at as you leave also.

“Wow!”

The place is very wel maintained and crowds were handled well. Needless to say, the golden pavilion itself was amazing! Must see in Kyoto!

“Serene”
Reviewed 20 February 2012

Too many people in the surroundings and no chairs for you to sit down and appreciate the beauty surrounding the golden temple. Other than that, it was still worth seeing this pavilion.

“So pretty!”
Reviewed 20 February 2012

There is not much there. You pay to go in. The whole place takes probably 45 minutes to walk through. But, the Golden Pavilion is very pretty! You must see it.
