We got here around 10am and were lucky to find space at the tatami seating area. It was a nice and different Starbucks experience.

Loved the way that Starbucks has worked to fit in with the unique local area. I know that there are sceptics who will point out that it’s all about commercialism but nonetheless this is a great example on how it can work. Coffee is as per the Starbucks coffee all around the world.

It's very different from others. If you don't know the place, it's easy to pass through it. When you go to Kiyomizu temple, it's very close to there. Try it

We were lucky enough that it was a rainy Saturday when we visited so there where not a lot of tourists. After our visit to Kiyomizu-dera which was also lacking tourists due to the rains and renovation we wanted something to drink so we stopped by. We were able to seat on the lone tatami style sitting area and enjoyed the moment. Ordered the Sakura latte as this was a unique flavor for Starbucks Japan. It was a very different experience all together vs the Starbucks that I am accustomed to, modern and a lot of students studying while taking a sip.
