Great location, simple but very comfortable and convenient. They speak good English which is sometimes hard to find in good ryokans . The location is the best thing about this place. Close to all the sights
n wonderful restaurants yet it is quiet n peaceful.
Wonderful Japanese breakfast but western breakfast was not so great.
Soggy toast and luke warm coffee. If you ask for more coffee, they will tell you only one cup is allowed per person n that rule applies for the instant coffee placed in the room bar too.
I am not 100 percent sure though, the usual tatami room can accomodate 4 adualts so they can accomodate a whole family of 4 easily. So it's economical.
To sum it up, if u really want to experience
Kyoto at its best, I highly recommand this
place. We saw a real Keisha which is very rate now a days as we were walking down the street after dinner. More
