Location:
Very convenient. The subway station is right in front of the hotel. If you travel by train, it's better to take subway instead of catch cab given the road traffic in Hangzhou is soooo busy. It's only a 10 mins walk to the west lake. Also lots of department stores, boutiques and restaurants nearby. If you want more options, the Wulin square(CBD) is just 10 mins away on foot with more restaurants and shops.

Room:
Nice and clean. The bed is comfy (might be a bit hard for westerners). It could be a bit noisy if your room is facing the Yan'an road, and the lightings may be a bit dim, especially in the washroom.

F&B:
The buffet brekki @ 12 floor is good. Most dishes are Chinese but there're plenty of choices for everyone. Haven't tried the Tian Xiang Lou restaurant @ 2nd floor but was told it's good.

Service:
Staff are friendly and helpful. I'm not a very demanding customer so cannot comment more.

Value:
The Deluxe Double Room with breakfast cost us RMB680 per night. I would say it's a fair price.

Overall:
A very nice hotel @ a very convenient location. Would recommend to anyone travel to Hangzhou. Meanwhile, the English name of the hotel could be a bit confusing as there're couple of other hotels have similar name. Its Chinese name is "Zhe Jiang Fan Dian" and that's what you should tell the cab driver.

Room Tip: Avoid the room facing Yan'an road if you are a light sleeper

Overall-This was a very nice hotel. Bedroom size was a little small. Bathroom was average size
Our room was on the back side of the hotel were there was construction being done on surrounding buildings. They seemed to work 24/7 so the noise continued through the night and could be heard in our room. Our rooms were arranged by Chinese so there wasn't much of a language barrier. We checked in by ourselves and staff spoke adequate English to get through that.

Breakfast buffet-This is the largest breakfast buffet I have seen. The dishes were mostly Chinese but there where items that everyone could like. The only complaint is that the food was barely warm. The service was great for breakfast. The staff was busy clearing table and even helped us find a place to sit at a very busy time. They also brought us knives and forks!

Cleanliness- Room seemed very clean except there was mold/mildew around shower floor calking. Everything else was satisfactory.

Location- We arrived by train and waited for a taxi to take us to the hotel. The wait for a taxi was long. After arriving at the hotel we found the subway was literally just outside the door. We took the subway back to train station when leaving.

Overall - A nice, comfortable, modern local brand hotel. Great value! There are a few Zhejiang hotels in Hangzhou - taxi drivers can get confused. This one is called "Zhejiang Fan Dian"

Location - Conveniently located on Yan'an Road and Fengqi Road intersection - where there are many shops and small boutiques in nearby Wulin Square (5 minutes walk). The Fengqi Road subway station is right in front of the hotel - about 20 meters distance. West Lake is about 10 minute walk and the West Lake Hubin Rd/Jiefang Rd area where there are many restaurants is only 20 minute walk along the lakeshore.

Not a lot of good restaurants nearby though. For food there was a Pizza Hut and Coffee shop located diagonally across the street, a Vanguard convenient store (across the street behind Meters borne shop) and a small bun and fruit shop (exit hotel and go right about 50m and there is a side street). Wulin square also has some restaurants.

Rooms - Stayed in a Premier Room on 10th floor (non-smoking floor), corner room. There are only 2 non-smoking floors but people still smoked. The room had a king bed - which was pillow top and surprisingly comfortable as hotel beds in China are usually hard. Due to the larger entrance foyer and a partition dividing the room and bedroom, the bedroom seemed a bit cramped. Bathroom was quite large with standing shower and big bathtub. The room overlooked Yan'an Road and the adjacent construction site - but it was not noisy ( very occasionally could hear cars horns).

F&B and Service - didn't try the hotel restaurant but heard that it is famous. The hotel concierge was quite helpful did provide recommendations for local tours to watertowns (tours were very cheap RMB130-165, but included the mandatory shopping stops) and also info on tickets for the different shows such as Impressions of West Lake. Checkout can be extended to 3pm.

Tips - Impression of West Lake Tickets - We ended up buying Impression of West Lake ticket from the one green tourist information booths located along Fengqi Road (as you walk towards the lake, or at one of the booths right near the entrance to the lake). The price was RMB 230 (group ticket price) vs RMB 350 (Hotel's quoted price). The only catch is that you need to have a local mobile # so that the ticket agent can SMS you on where to meet to pick up the ticket (usually meet at KFC near the entrance to the show at 7pm). Otherwise you can buy the tickets at the booth near the show entrance RMB260.

We wanted to stay near the Wyndham where our bearings rests so this hotel fits the bill in terms of price vs location.

Room - our Double Deluxe Room on a non-smoking floor is a mere 23 sqm with relatively new and luxe furnishes with free wifi. We were given a city view room which looks out to the roofs and rooms of the surrounding buildings. Housekeeping does a good job with really quick services every morning and the bathroom is meticulously clean but has no bathtub. Only two little possible gripes - the room lightings may be too dim and a double room means a standard Queen-size bed albeit a very comfortable one.

Location - 100% for the hotel's location as it is near to West Lake and everything i.e. shopping, restaurants, malls etc. We had arrangements made therefore we did not encounter any transportation woes but the ongoing subway construction right in front of the hotel literally blocks its entrance from the main road so this is potentially a problem if one needs a taxi.

F&B - we had room services, breakfasts at the 12th floor cafe and 1 dinner at the Tian Xiang Lou. Room service was good at 2am although a hotter meal is preferred but then it was late night so no complaints! Breakfasts at the cafe all went well with only small hiccups - the 'international' breakfast buffet spread is of average standard and mainly geared towards Chinese guests' appetites. The dinner at Tian Xiang Lou was slightly disappointing maybe due to the high expectations we had from the hypes. Food quality/tastes and services barely made it to the top-notch category.

General - the experience at this hotel is mixed of good and bad feelings. Our late night check-in was not a welcoming experience and little did we know that it was the hotel's practice to charge our credit cards right out for the room nights PLUS an extra amount and that they will 'refund' through the bank after guests check-out therefore travellers holding foreign-issued credit cards to take note about the charging. There are Guest Relations Managers on duty at most times in the lobby and will help to resolve most problems. All in all, I'd say this is a rather good quality Chinese hotel as compared to my many other horrendous experiences.
