nothing much though I was expecting better service and better rooms. The rooms are spacious but they do present minimalist style which does not present itself as value for money given the rate charged. The front desk personnel does not seem well trained. the breakfast was poor even by Chinese standards as my wife claimed. I just had breakfast at a near Starbucks as I was not positively impressed by the hotel. The only thing great is the location and the easy public transport available.

Room tip: I would not suggest it unless all other better hotels in the areas are fully booked

Despite my room was devoid of any window, room was quite comfortable and clean
Staff is a disaster, as most chinese hotels. Breakfast is poor
However still can advise it as a good option in Hangzhou.
Location is also not bad for tourism, but I guess north lake is not reachable by walk, I didn't try.

The receptionist that we met on the first night when we were cold-calling hotels to stay in was awesome and most helpful. The service of the hotel is generally good.

The rooms are comfortable and lush, value for money. The shower room is roomy, well-designed and great! Overall, very satisfied with the room and it has good amenities. The interior design of the hotel lobby, entrance, etc is good too.

There is security personnel at the lift entrances too, this is an advantage that most hotels do not have.

Nearby you are able to walk to the mall opposite to enjoy food from some famous restaurant chains in China. Others may opt to walk towards the opposite street (where the convenience stalls and pastry shop is, and there is a good dumpling soup at that place that is value for your buck and no-frills. Nice place to have a hearty breakfast at, to start your day.

Enjoyed the 3 nights' stay at The Victoria.

One thing, however, the staff in charge of tourist information (only available in the day time) could have been more informed as most of the things we enquired, they could not really help with.

General tip in China: Use Didi app to call for taxis yourself. When we really needed help from the locals to call for taxis, it was really strange none of them wanted to help. It was during the G20 Summit period, and really difficult to get taxis off the streets.

Room tip: Ask if they could upgrade you to a room with a nice street city view!

This is the perfect place to visit the West Lake and all of its surroundings. Room are Ok & staff is helpful. The price is reasonable but the gym clearly need a little refresh to meet our expectations.

Very spacious and well furnished.
Mattress is nice and firm and it gave me two nights of good sleep.
Wifi signal strength is very good.
Windows can be opened.
Bathroom is also very spacious. However there are a few things worth pointing out. There are signs of paint wear and tear. The sliding stainless steel door screeches and there are already signs of rust. The bathroom cabinets have probably seen better days.
The mini-refrigerator in the room functions more like an incubator.

The staff I interacted with hardly speak English. I remember only 2 smiling faces; the rest of them were expressionless.
There is a gym, but it’s nothing to write home about. Unless you’re writing home to express how ridiculously pathetic it is.

A 5 minute walk to the metro station.
Public bicycle pickup/return stops are convenient located no more than 5 minutes away by walking.
The main shopping street is about a 15 minutes walk away.
Safe neighbourhood.
Hotel is easy to find as it I situated right on the city’s main thoroughfare.
