Nice, clean hotel and good food. Good beds and modern rooms. Good location. Knife and fork on the breakfasttable and various food. Nice staff. Drawback: Only a few of the staff speaks english which makes it difficult to give and take information.

Stayed: April 2016, travelled on business

We stayed at the hotel for eight days in March 2015. Its location is excellent - near the center of the city but quiet, near a park where Tai Chi and dancing occurs. The room was small but very clean and modern with a Western toilet. The breakfast was outstanding, with a choice of over 12 different hot Chinese dishes, as well as fruit and desserts. Grace who works in the sales office has a very good command of English and was extremely helpful.
The only downside is that the in room wireless is slow.

We initially booked for 6 nights as the first leg of our holiday to Yunnan but enjoyed this hotel so much that we booked for the last week of our stay as well.Book online to save money and you will get a top class experience at a bargain basement price. The huge lobby is spotless (except for the ubiquitous ash trays next to the no smoking signs-but hey this is China!).There is usually someone on reception who speaks English if you don't speak Chinese but they are very helpful and will get taxis etc whenever you ask.All areas of the hotel are well maintained and very clean. Rooms (we had king sized Business rooms)are spacious with huge comfortable beds and high quality linen. Shower rooms are clean and well equipped and towels changed daily by polite staff. There is air conditioning and tv with some English programmes. Breakfasts are buffet style with fresh ground coffee and a huge range of Chinese and western style food. Try the green tea cakes and the mango coulis-delicious. There is fresh fruit, soups, vegetables galore, cakes, eggs, waffles, salads and breads. The breakfasts were thoroughly enjoyed very day and well worth getting up for! The hotel is handy for the Old town with its astonishing bird and flower market as well as shops, restaurants and expat bars such as Moondog.

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the back of the hotel to avoid traffic noise

We have stayed here a total of about 80 nights in the past three years and keep coming back. Breakfast is great too--Chinese and some Western, very fresh food and brewed coffee. Check in and out is efficient and accurate. BBC and ESPN and Discovery Channel on the TV.

Stayed here for two days in January 2013. It is quite far from the center of the city but you can pick up the bus that takes you right into town (and for only 2RMB it is cheaper then taking a taxi). The hotel staff is very helpful and even though the English is a little lacking, the staff are willing to go out of their way to help you. The room was beautiful and very quiet. Though the bed was the best part of the room. I have been in China for two years and have noticed that most beds here are as hard as rocks, but this bed was one I would have taken home with me. The breakfest buffet was great. They had a lot of options to choose from. They even had coffee! I was sad to leave. If I ever go to this city again on vacation I am going to go to this hotel.
