The hotel which used to be an intercontinental before is now self managed under its own name, for visiting Madinah, the key thing is proximity to the mosque and the size of rooms

The hotel hits a great chord on those factors, room services is not bad and well priced and actually speedy.

In general for visiting Madinah this hotel will score high as a choice, preferably in the higher floors or VIP section

We stayed at this place as its the closest to the prophet's mosque. Yet its not the luxury place that you would dream of . Its not clean enough and is outdate. Location wise is great. Room service is fast and food is tasty and the food came quick. The check in was super fast and the receptionist was nice and cooperative.

So this time for Hajj we got to stay at Dar-ul-Taqwa for the first time ever!!!! I was very excited as I had never stayed in that hotel ever and heard so so much about it.
So first dinner we had - it was post Hajj and the hotel was PACKED.... literally people were bumping into each in the dining hall and management opened the other tea hall finally when there was no space left between the bumpers... Breakfast peak hours same -
The staff was unable to handle the crowd , they were very nice and listening to all the guests complaints with the smile but little was done to cater them.
Housekeeping realized once in a while to clean up the rooms and mostly forgot to re-fill the tea and sanitary supplies.
The plus point is that it was smack in front of the women's entrance to the Prophet's Mosque but if the ladies are willing to walk a little it is little value for the price

This is a very nice hotel linked directly to the courtyard of Masjid e Nabvi. It allows direct access for ladies to Gate 23 which makes it very convenient considering that praying areas for both genders are separate at the Holy Mosque. The room was a bit small but clean, cozy and comfortable and the housekeeping service is excellent. The buffet breakfast and dinner had wide variety and good taste.
