With the help of ExploRussia, our family (including two girls aged 9 & 12) was able to take the trip of a lifetime! As Americans, it’s a bit of a process to visit Russia. Ruslana and her team were quite helpful in suggesting ways to make the Visa and payment processes run smoothly. They also worked with us several months prior to our visit to plan an itinerary that would be to our liking, including attractions, shopping, family friendly hotels/guest houses and restaurants. And the entire family loved our trip - From the classical architecture, art, churches and shopping in St. Petersburg to the Soviet sites, extravagant Metro stations and ballet in Moscow…all the way to the countryside “Golden Ring” towns of Vladimir and Suzdal (with their beautiful onion domed churches and local artisans), we were immersed in Russian culture and traditions. Guides Anna, Olga and Alina (along with driver Sergey) were very patient with us (especially in restaurants!) as we navigated our way around and learned about Russian history and their personal histories as well. Favorite dining experiences included Russkaya Rybalka (aka Russian Fishing) on the outskirts of St. Petersburg, where we caught our own dinner; Café Pushkin (traditional Russian) and Hachapuri (Georgian cuisine) in Moscow. Highlights also included buying crafts from local artisans at a flea market on the outskirts of Moscow and in Suzdal. There’s no better way to see Russia than with ExploRussia!
