The room is very crowded with just a few empty space. The bathroom is having all necessary, but not so clean. Bed is having soft matress and furniture is very old. The view from the balcony is very beautiful and it is not far away from the city center. At the pool we were asked if we have head cap(mandatory if you want to swim - cost 20 Ron at the reception and more expensive if you buy it from the pool entrance). The breakfast is a boufet and it is ok . Also the cafee is good. So is ok if you are spending more time to visiting and if you want to pay 20 Ron to be able to access the pool.

The only beautiful thing is the wonderful view of this hotel.
Old and broken furniture. Small and crowded room. The mattresses are not properly framed in the bed frame and slide into the depth of the frame. Small and untidy bathroom. Clean only on the surface.

As you drive up the hill out of the city, you can see straightaway that the hotel is likely to be dated due to it's archaic design. The location is very nice in the middle of a small park and giving great views of the city but there is little to enjoy after this.

Walking into reception is like entering a time machine. The decor is overly elaborate but so outdated it hurt my eyes with the amount of aged wood, marble and light fittings which offered no actual light.

It is a practical place to stay if you want a pool, which is large and well kept. And offers a modern gym. Due its position at the top of a hill, the hotel is very quiet, which makes it relaxing.

Reception staff were helpful, polite and answered all of our questions about the gym usage and the city itself.

Rooms are old, the bedding looks like it was weaved in the 1950's, while the fittings reminded me of my grandmother's house. In fairness the TV offers access to Netflix, which is a nice touch. The balcony allows great views across the city.

The establishment offers the worst breakfast I have ever seen in a 3* hotel. It looks like a prison buffet and the prisoners were given first dibs on everything. The cold meats and cheese look like they did not consist of anything that had come from an animal. The cucumber and tomato looked like it wanted to escape, while the hot food would have been turned down by someone who had been trapped starving in a cave for three months, due to the garish red sausages and anaemic egg. The coffee on offer was just murky water or possibly a cry for help from the waiting staff, who offered no words and did not restock much; the cakes looked the most likely to be edible but were gone before we got down and no more were offered.

The hotel is probably now too old to be repaired and turned into somewhere someone wants to stay, so will instead just plod along as it is until no one cares that it goes out of business. It needs some serious restoration if it is to compete with those in Cluj, especially as it is a 15 minute walk into the city centre.

The hotel does at least understand its flaws and the price is very competitive.

Been at hotel Belvedere for a few days. Restaurant and bar staff very bad and rude. If you get the chance to meet the restaurant supervisor mr Bucur you will know imediately what i am talking about. He acts like a bully with customers and staff togheter, to be honest i don’t know why such a person still works at this place.
On the other side the toilet flush did not work and nobody bothered to fix it so we used the shower instead.
My advice ,go to another place so you can enjoy your visit in the beautiful city of Cluj.

the view is excellent, there is a park nearby and the panoramic view and fresh air are great. breakfast is not a great choice if you are a vegan like me since there is not much variety. The staff is very helpful and polite.
