Probably the best dimsum ive tasted, a lot of variety and flavor. This being inside shangri la hotel, the atmosphere is relaxed and chic. Service was very good, place absolutely clean and bright, good for business or family eats.

Our host had ordered a sumptuous lunch for 9 in a cozy private room with the same waiters attending to us. The menu was rich though well balanced and so beautifully presented. It was the classic feast for the palate and for the eyes! We had a stunning arry of appetizers: barbecued baby lobster in salted egg yolk, stemed scallop dumplings, chilled goose liver with mushroom and crab meat. The main course was a delicious Peking duck served with flavoured pancake including its crispy skin. The steamed codfish, soup-like, was a perfect foil to the richness of the duck. Th feast didn't stop at the mini machay that followed and the dessert was lemongrass jelly served in fresh cocont shells. There were black charcoal buns painted with steaks of old but hardly anyone had room for them. Too satiated. It was a feast befitting a Chinese emperor!

We ordered in advance so everything would go smoothly but during lunch service, food came out slowly and not according to plan. Noodles was supposed to come out last (it came before all the main dishes). Ordered a 3 way whole roasted duck. They forgot to serve the 3rd part which is mince duck with lettuce. I expect more since price is really expensive.

Dear Rizzaleen U,

Thank you for taking the time to share your dining experience. I sincerely apologize for the lapses in the service. As a restaurant that prides itself in providing a high level of service, it is evident that we have fallen short of the expectation that we have set for ourselves. Please be assured that this has been discussed extensively with the team to avoid recurrence. Once again, our sincere apologies for this incident. We hope you will allow us the opportunity to redeem ourselves by welcoming you again in the future.

I think this is one of the rare occasions wherein Summer Palace was not on point. Still, I felt that I needed to let the management know that this should not be the norm, especially when you expect 5-star service and food. I had my birthday dinner here last December 27. I was with my wife and daughter, together with expat friends and their young son. We ordered birthday noodles, lamb and Peking duck 2 ways. Service was quite slow and even utensils were not provided on time. Service water took a lot of time to be served. My expat friend was gracious in saying that the service really needed improvement and that I should say something to the management since we are expecting 5 -star service and got none of it at all.

Food was salty for my standard and the duck was gamey too. I have had better. Service was inefficient. It was certainly not me or my wife expected. Sad part is that they still charge the Service Charge whether they perform dutifully or not.

I have eaten at this restaurant a few times . It is located in the Edsa Shangrila Hotel. The food is excellent and the restaurant is quite big is accommodates big families. It offers traditional lauriat Chinese food including appetizers and dimsum. Service is average .
