Location is good with restaurants few blocks away. Stayed in a two-bedroom premier and its huge and fully equipped. Though the room I stayed in is quite old but generally comfortable and clean but not quite as good as seen on the pictures. Pool in the upper deck is quite small to share with other guests. Staff are friendly and nice.

Fraser place in Makati is little bit off but has huge rooms and even if a bit old very nice.
Good service and kind staff makes it a grate place.
Breakfast is not a strong point, better use the kitchen in your apartment.

Room Tip: As always, high location is quiter

We stay here because they allow us to have our little dog stay with us. Its the only decent hotel who allow this. We enjoy it every time we stay. The rooms are always clean and they are big enough for us to have the little one there. The kitchens are not always fully functioning and the pool could use some updating but for a couple nights in manila, its great. The breakfast is not bad either. We have stayed here 3 times and it has been consistant each time.

Stayed here over new years for 11 nights. What attracted me to this hotel was the price. When we arrived in Manila we directed our cab driver to our Hotel. He had never heard of the hotel and when we told him where it was located he still had no clue how to get there. This was a recurrent problem our entire trip, no one knew of or where the hotel was located. We got upgraded from a one bedroom to a two bedroom suite. The space was huge with a living room, dining room, kitchen, laundry, 2 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms. Although the room was nice it was starting to show some wear and tear. The air condition presented a problem as it was either on full blast which made the room unbearably cold or so low that it was sweltering hot. The washing machine did not work and had to be replaced as well as the pilot light for the stove. There was a recurring fishy, horrible smell in the hallway by the elevator. The service was very slow in the hotel although the staff was friendly. The rooms were not cleaned on new years eve and new years day, we were told that the staff was on holiday. There was also no room service or dining service during those days. I was traveling with my boyfriend visiting family so it was great to have so much space in our suite, were we could all meet up. However the wear and tear of the room and the poor service were definite setbacks. The neighboorhood is nice and very safe to walk around in at night, although I wouldn't recommend walking anywhere alone especially if you are a woman. There are lots of security guards around that area of Makati that are very willing to direct you or help you out if you need it. Also do not use the driver service/tour service through the hotel as it is extremely over priced. The drivers and tour guides are SOOOO nice but if you are looking to save money you can find better deals elsewhere. If you do chose to use their service request Cesar!! He is very knowledagble, cordial and a great driver compared to the rest of crazy Manila drivers. Overall I would only recommend this hotel if you need a lot of space for a cheap price or if you are not planning on being in your hotel a lot or not using any hotel services including food and cleaning. Also there is no wireless internet in the rooms and you have to connect with a very short cable. If you do choose to stay here make sure to look up the hotel on a map and be armed with directions from the airport to the hotel.

Room Tip: Request a room on a high floor and make sure that your air condition works as it is needed badly.

I stayed in a suite with a bunch of friends.

The suite was spacious with a generous four bathrooms and big kitchen. You can see that the furniture was once modern and elegant; now, it looks dated and used. The TVs are modern at least, everything else was lacking. The batteries in the remote control for the air con were dead (another remote control worked though).

I found a dead roach in the shower in the morning.

But what I thought was worse that there was no wifi so we couldn't use our mobile devices. We picked up a signal only in one outer corner of an upstairs room and the signal was so weak that it only worked 30% of the time.

There is one thing that can be said for the Fraser - the staff is great. For example, I needed to do something online at 1 am (being outside of my business timezone) and they opened the business center for me outside opening hours, no questions asked and at no charge.

The Fraser could be amazing if someone invested some money back and modernised it. Until then, I would probably pick a different hotel for a business trip.

Room Tip: Ask for a room close to a wifi access point.
