I stayed overnight at the hotel. Check in was a bit slow however staff was friendly. The hotel was busy. Deluxe rooms where fully booked out.I had a suite at the hotel room 215.
Large day room with a large sofa TV and fridge. Complimentry tea and coffee.
A large bedroom with 2 x double beds.
The walk in shower and toilet.
The hotel has a cafe and I was pleasantly suprised. The choice on the menu was good and the food was very good.More

Travelled to Lae for a business trip. Didn't realize how large the rooms where until my trip got postponed for another couple of days and I got rebooked into another hotel.
Compared to this other hotel, Lea City Hotel has very large rooms, large flat screen TV with way more channel options to flick through. The most pleasant surprise was the complimentary continental breakfast vouchers given at the time of check-in plus wifi access code ( at the other hotel, I had to pay for wifi), and friendly staffs

I had to work in Lae for a weekend (Fri to Mon) and decided to try somewhere a little more "up-market" than the usual Motel. Couldn't be happier. Very large rooms (views can be a tad ordinary, but who needs a view ?) Beds very comfy, everything works as it should, and the service levels are excellent. Food at the Cafe is great with plenty of it and great value for money. I think I will make sure I always stay here for future visits.

This Hotel in Lae is a good place to stay if you want easy walking access to Lae Toptown. Rooms are clean and tidy...complimentary Continental breakfast was a pleasant surprise . Asian selections from room service menu was not available and room service selection was basic..
Food are nice and cheap. I love their Beef Brisket in Claypot an all time favourite. However, restaurant is noisy especially during weekend nights or if it's full packed. Parking is limited. Food service is fast.
We recently spent 2 nights at this hotel while attending the Morobe Show. The room was comfortable, with a nice big couch and comfy bed. The towels were nice quality but stained and needed better laundering. The front desk staff had some language issues (English was limited) and questionable practices concerning booking rides around the city, Note: Lae has no taxis, just "security services" which end up being overpriced taxis in ridiculous vehicles with bars all over them. We were able to eat breakfast there, just toast, fruit and coffee, but the restaurant was excellent for lunch and dinner, especially the Asian food. I was able to use the laundry machines altho had to wait for them to be empty, FYI the staff uses the same ones for the hotel linens. Overall, we were pleasantly surprised by this hotel.

It is great to know that you were satisfied with our guest room fixture and furniture and we appreciate the above average rating given. However, we regret the fell short in some areas during your stay, we will always continue in providing adequate training for our front desk to be able to accommodate our guest needs better and we're terribly sorry that on your stay our main hotel laundry were down and we used the guest self-service laundry for the entire hotel's laundry operation while waiting for the laundry machine parts from overseas. Now our main laundry have back to its normal operation therefore our guest will not have to share the self-service laundry with the hotel operation anymore.
