We had a marvelous stay in Bambuda Castle, Wonderful interiors/, very good service and some excellent dining too, cocktels, beers, deserts. Very reasonably priced. It's an out of the ordinary experience

Didn't realize a hostel could be like that until I arrived there. We had booked a dorm and were pretty satisfied with it even though we are more used to private rooms in hostels.
Overall I must say that the staff and location were overwhelmingly nice. And it was super clean too.

Would recommend this place for everyone in any ages.

Some very small things that I would improve is
-the beds in the dorm rooms were a bit fragile and didn't seem to fit such an awesome place
-the kitchen is a bit chaotic because you as well as the chefs are cooking in the same place

But this did not make it less than 5 stars!!
Thanks for being awesome

I booked into the 10 bed dorm room for 10 days. It was a very busy room with people getting up at various hours to climb the 11,000 foot volcano, Vulcan Baru. Bring earplugs and eye mask. Everyone tried their best to keep the noise down and I enjoyed being around all of the youthful energy and an "I can do this!" attitude".The staff is incredible, the bathrooms clean and lovely. The whole grounds are groomed and flowered.I only met the nicest kindest people that wanted to talk about adventure . MAGIC!!!

Room Tip: Private cabins have a wonderful view!

is to stay at Bambuda Castle!

Nice bathrooms, nice rooms, really nice atmosphere.
It's very picturesque and tries to give it that castle feel, which is really nice.
The food we were served at the dinner was absolutely filling and delicious.
Everything was nice and clean.
Great bathrooms, especially for a hostel.
Super wonderful staff at the front desk, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable!
One nice touch was the aromatherapy rosemary scent added to the room.
With the crazy hours people keep for hiking Volcan Baru, it was nice to have particularly respectful hostel guests staying there at the same time.
Only minor complaint would be that I was expecting a light somewhere in my bed and there didn't seem to be one. But it's so negligible to the overall experience.

We stayed here for several nights in a dorm. The beds are comfortable and common bathrooms clean (and huge). In my opinion the best things are the shared area, the tv area with PlayStation and netflix, the indoor pool and jacuzzi, and the great professional kitchen you can use! The coffee tours they offer are also good value, on our trip we were alone with our guide. If we want to find some downsides, it is of course a bit expensive, especially the meals they offer (and they close the kitchen in the evening, so be prepared to cook your own meals very early or very late); when we were there, the tv area was occupied the entire day by a young guy (not a customer), but I guess one doesn't need the tv all day. Overall it was worth it for the experience of sleeping in a castle!
