“Good Food! Reasonably priced”

Enthaice Thai Kitchen
Ranked #59 of 724 Restaurants in Astoria
Price range: USD 15 - USD 75
Cuisines: Thai
Description: Enthaice Thai Kitchen opened in the summer of 2013, and brings the flavors, spices, and ambiance of Northern Thailand to the center of Astoria, Queens and we brings to dishes Lanna Thai authentic, yet contemporary. For those willing to explore, there is an entire legacy of Chiang Mai cooking (with a bit of Phayao thrown in). The unusualness of the regional ingredients will surprise and delight, while local and seassonal recipes addition will further augment the dishes for even more exciting flavors. With the feeling of northern region of Thailand, people indicated warm hearted and easy going. Drink, eat, and talk casual style dining. Lunch or dinner by yourself or celebrating with friends Enthaice Thai Kitchen offers an experience you can’t get anywhere else in New York or beyond.

I have eaten at this restaurant twice in the last two months, most recently for lunch on Tuesday the 26th of November. The food has been really good both times. As an appetizer, I recommend the curried chicken minced tarts (Curry Puff)-an order is 4 and could easily be an entree for me. Three of us shared two orders very good. Attention, they do take awhile to prepare and cook as they might be made from scratch when ordered. Worth the wait. I also had the Tom Yum with Shrimp, excellent. The service is very attentive. They do not open for lunch until noon-don't go early. The website only lists the Manhatten location, but the menu is pretty much the same as the Astoria location. Not sure if the ownership is the same.

We went to this restaurant on Nov 21 and thoroughly enjoyed it there was 5 of us and we shared shrimp dumplings, crab rangoon, spring rolls and edamame. The Crab Rangoon was one of the best things I've eaten and the shrimp dumplings were also excellent. The main courses were Thai steak, 2 different duck dishes and I had the prawn special all were excellent my wife said that this was one of the best meals she has eaten. The service was attentive but not over the top this will be one restaurant that we will return to.

As a "lover" of Thai food we always enjoy trying new restaurants.

We had a dinner there a couple of nights late Oct 2013.
We ordered three starts and one main dish.
Crispy Spring roll
Thai Spare ribs
Chicken Wings
Red Curry Chicken

Comments:

The restaurant has for over two months applied for alcohol license. That is OK as we do drink water.
The waiter came with all dishes very quickly. Was is pre-prepared and heated in a microwave oven?
Crispy spring rolls were very warm.
Spareribs were soggy and not good.
Chicken wings were tasteless.
Red Chicken Curry had a good taste but there almost no chicken in the dish!

The waiters need more training. The reached over us when we were eating and this is was disturbing and annoying. We do not enjoy being rushed by the staff. There was vet few people in the restaurant. Maybe due to that they had no license.

Will we be back? Probably not.
